Normally I wouldn't take the time to get into this, but what the @nypost and @californiapost published here is utter fiction. And defamatory fake news does a disservice to everyone involved. “Mass evacuation.” “Futuristic jet sparks dangerous chain reaction.” Totally false. Zero checking of these false statements before publication; sure feels like a hit piece designed for clicks. Here is the boring reality: On Monday, a test pack briefly caught fire in a controlled environment at one of our lab facilities in the Bay Area. This happened during advanced R&D testing on a next-gen battery pack for a future pipeline program—not our Midnight air taxi. Our team quickly extinguished it with the help of local fire, root caused the issue, and were back at it the next day building and testing the future of aerospace technology. If the media spent half as much energy covering American engineering breakthroughs as they do trying to manufacture panic we’d be much better off as a country.

There’s a version of this trip from San Martin to San Jose that involves a freeway. This isn’t that one. Midnight completed its 3rd flight of the day landing in San Jose before sundown where it'll stay the night before resuming its journey to Oakland tomorrow on the "No Roads" flight tour.

Midnight is set to perform for the home crowd at our next "No Roads" tour stop. This weekend, Midnight returns to the California International Air Show for the second year running, flying in an epic lineup that includes the @usairforce's Thunderbirds, Goulian Aerosports, and other iconic aircraft like the MiG-17, T-33, and A-37 Dragonfly. Hundreds of Archer team members from engineering, operations, and flight test are expected on site each day to celebrate with the community.
