After years of helping #startups turn ambition into action, we’ve found the most overlooked way to execute a #strategy and is to intentionally design #business practices. Read our article on how to design practices to achieve your goals. link.medium.com/7dfXcWC9Twb

Absolutely LOVE this metaphor for being an entreprenuer, and also for responsible innovation😍
This metaphor from @NoraBateson this morning: “Everyone wants to be told how to ride the bike” — you just want people to tell you how to ride a bike. But it’s impossible — and then you learn — and you find it impossible to explain to someone else. #Metaphor #ThatsWhatsAMetasFor

This is something we'll also be paying a lot of attention to in the next few months. Thanks @Reema__Patel and the team at stats UK!
Thoughtful blog from @AdaLovelaceInst Associate Director @Reema__Patel responding to the Centre for Applied Data Ethics’ draft ethics guidance on considering public views and engagement in research and statistics projects.

Thank you @AdaLovelaceInst for your take on the #NationalAIStrategy, and for pointing out that there are still big questions to be tackled in the UK regulatory space:
The questions that still need to be answered are huge:
🔹What should the goal of AI regulation be?
🔹Do AI systems require bespoke regulation, or can the regulation of these systems be wrapped into broader digital technology regulatory package?

Thank you @ODIHQ for your take on the #NationalAIStrategy, and for all the chuckles this morning.
(4/14) Developed by the @OfficeForAI, straddling @DCMS and @BEISgovuk, the strategy is described as a 10-year plan, but is more realistic in only spelling out actions for the next 3, 6 and 12+ months. After all, the future has not been written...

#TechPriorities
ALT "Today’s publication of findings from our survey of the AI ecosystem provides a valuable snapshot of the greatest challenges and opportunities facing the UK’s AI community. While the UK starts from a position of strength in the fundamental enablers of AI development, the survey also reveals those areas where the government and others will need to focus their efforts to realise the full benefits of AI. I look forward to working with the UK Government as it sets out its future priorities to cement the UK's place as a science superpower". - Tabitha Goldstaub, AI Council Chair

Critical Questioning over Rigid Rituals: Critical questioning isn’t about slowing down development, but rather about inserting healthy friction with the goal of creating the best possible product. There’s explicit value in questioning the product within a team environment.
