Axios reported this morning that Visa was in talks to buy Fireblocks, but Fireblocks denied it. At DAS, Sam told us the big businesses Frax works with don't want to just route stablecoins through Visa. They want to custody regulated stablecoins directly. "If you look at RWAs right now, we talk about RWAs all the time, and there's these massive numbers of RWAs already. But if you look at the utilization in DeFi, it's something like only 10% are doing something with the RWAs. They're just sitting there." "The important thing about RWAs is, as a high-quality, high-yield source, they should be integrated into DeFi and used to the maximum extent possible, because that's what we do in DeFi. We take advantage of these assets as people want them." "This is the solution to really unlock the next stage of RWA growth, and you're going to see a lot of RWA asset issuers come on board.
