Partnering with exceptional entrepreneurs from SF to NY, London to Tel Aviv, from Seed to IPO.

Thirty years ago, we built Index around one conviction: great founders can come from anywhere, and our job is to find them early and stay with them. Today we're announcing new funds — $3.5B across seed, venture, and growth. The best is yet to come. indexventures.com/perspectiv…

We’re bringing Aristotle to code. AI is writing more code than anyone can review. We're building the AI that verifies it. Starting today with C and Verilog.

Do you think we’re living in a simulation? This Stanford PhD raised over $300M, now valued at $2B, backed by Fei-Fei Li (@drfeifei), Andrej @karpathy, Greenoaks, & @IndexVentures, to build AI simulations of real people. Their Stanford research achieved 85%+ accuracy predicting human behavior. I sat down with Simile Co-Founder & CEO Joon Sung Park (@joon_s_pk) to get into it all. Simile (@simile_ai) builds real-world simulations with access to 40M+ real people across its global panel partnerships for companies liek Deloitte, Wealthfront, CVS & more to test major decisions. Joon completed his Stanford PhD advised by Michael Bernstein & Percy Liang, now his co-founders, & is the first author of the 'Generative Agents' paper. That paper introduced Smallville, a simulated town where 25 LLM-powered agents lived, worked, & socialized on their own. Recorded at Index Ventures in San Francisco, we talked about Elon Musk’s simulation theory & whether human behavior can actually be predicted.. Parag Agrawal (@paraga) says we’re underestimating AI agents by 5,000–10,000x. Wild, but his numbers are hard to argue with. @MollySOShea sat down with the @p0 founder and CEO on agents taking over the web, the GPUs it takes, and why the internet’s business model needs a rebuild. Shot at our office. Excited to partner with Parag and team.
NEW: I sat down w/ former Twitter CEO & CTO Parag Agrawal (@paraga) Now Founder & CEO of $2B Parallel Web Systems (@p0). Parag says we're underestimating AI agents by 5,000–10,000x, transforming the internet's economics entirely. Forget the startup benchmark of 3x, 3x, 2x, 2x. Parag benchmarks this new agentic era against the growth of inference, roughly 10x a year, & says every estimate he’s made in this market has come in too low. Parallel has raised $230M in total funding from funds like @IndexVentures, Kleiner Perkins & Khosla Ventures, building AI-native search infrastructure for customers like: Harvey, Lovable, Granola, Replit, LangChain, Profound, Modal, Notion & Browserbase. Today, agent web usage is estimated at just 10–20% of human usage. Parag's own agents already run several thousand searches a day, & he believes we're still in the earliest stages of this transition. The infrastructure implications are massive. Parag predicts that for every 10 GPUs used in model inference, another 1–2 will be required for web search alone. The economic implications are equally significant. Traditional advertising, subscriptions & affiliate models depend on human attention and browsing behavior. As agents become the primary consumers of information, these models will need to be rebuilt, including how publishers get compensated when agents access their content. We also covered: › Why the web is shifting from reactive to proactive AI agents › Sourcing GPUs & scaling search infrastructure › Voice agents, latency & token efficiency › Agent identity, bot detection & cybersecurity › Scaling Parallel from 30 to 120 employees this year We also spent time on Parag's 11 years at Twitter, where he went from engineer to CTO to CEO. We discussed the lessons from leading one of the world's most influential social platforms. 𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐒 (00:00) Parag Agrawal, Founder & CEO at Parallel (01:03) What is Parallel AI? (05:28) Bots took over the web & it’s only the start (07:22) Will people stick with AI agents? (11:55) Why models will get bigger, smarter & cheaper (14:47) Where AI startups actually find GPUs (19:43) Is 10x a year the new normal? (21:59) Searching the web faster than you can blink (26:02) AI that knows what you need before you do (26:57) Agents are breaking the web’s business model (31:08) Good bots vs bad bots (33:45) Agents & the cyber arms race (37:19) The web’s biggest problem with agents (42:04) Why great models still give bad answers (45:13) Parallel built a website for robots? (47:56) Proactive agents & the future of search (51:30) The person who drives Parag’s ambition (55:50) Why feeling insecure is a superpower

Index turned 30 this month, and we celebrated with the founders who got us here and the ones just getting started. Thank you for choosing us, trusting us, and celebrating with us.
This month, we’re celebrating 30 years of backing exceptional founders. Over the past three decades, 142 Index-backed companies have reached a valuation of $1 billion or more, 32 have surpassed a $10 billion valuation, and 64 have become publicly traded. To every founder who’s chosen us, to all the LPs who’ve believed in us, to our team and everyone who’s built alongside us: thank you.

It’s been an absolute privilege partnering with @spectorb @amspector100 @aidanmantine and the rest of the incredible @flappyairplanes team. We’re thrilled to double down and colead another round and I’m honored to join the board. Efficiency in compute + data will unlock massive new opportunities, and there’s no better team to solve it than this one.
We’ve spent the past year developing new primitives for GPUs. We believe this enables new algorithms to change how machines learn, open new markets, and dramatically reshape AI’s cost structure. We have raised a $1 billion Series A, co-led by Index and Lux.

Duvo is one platform where people and AI agents run operations together, and has already unlocked $100M+ for customers. We’re proud to back @TomasCupr & @Duvoai again with today’s $32M Series A.
We've raised $32M in Series A funding to become the one platform enterprises run their operations on. 🚀 Led by @balderton, with participation from @IndexVentures, @northzoneVC and @CredoVentures, this brings our total funding to $48M and fuels our global expansion. McKinsey sizes the long-term potential of generative AI at $4.4 trillion a year in added productivity. Most of it sits in the same place: every enterprise has hidden money trapped in broken processes, disconnected systems and manual work. We're building the Enterprise Execution OS to release it. One platform where people and AI agents run operations together. We map how work actually happens, improve it, and automate it across existing systems. In weeks, not years. And we've already delivered over $100M in annualized impact across dozens of enterprises. Our mission is simple: raise the GDP of every employee. Unlock every business's working intelligence and empower people to create more value. A huge thank you to our customers, investors, partners and the entire Duvo team who got us here. The next chapter starts now. And we're just getting started. 🌎 Know a Jane? Tag them below. 👇 #SeriesA #EnterpriseAI #Duvo
