I use Codex AND Claude Code on the same repo.Every time I switch, one of them has no idea what the other just did. How are you keeping them in sync?

hey all - update for SR008: It's now the FINAL weekend to apply for our next residency in San Francisco. Applications close this Sunday, Nov 1 at 11:59 PM PT. Here's the link: speedrun.a16z.com/apply How it works: - you apply - we review, reach out to get introduced, etc - if there's a fit, we handshake and sign - we wire our investment right away! - plus you get access to >$10M in credits right away - you'll onboard + start working with us immediately, have access to working out of our SF offices, etc The official residency starts Feb 2027 where we'll have speakers, office hours, and much more. I plan to be on site and look forward to meeting many of you You might ask- who's the best fit for this? We want to talk to you as early as possible, and that means: - no company yet - no deck - no huge insight tweet thread - sometimes not even fully committed yet You don't need the perfect idea. We can start working together when you're iterating and getting the idea off the ground. That's the whole point of speedrun - it's our way of backing you from Day 0. More official stuff below: - Deadline is this Sunday, Nov 1 at 11:59 PM PT (this weekend!) - SR008 runs Feb 1 through April 18, 2027 in San Francisco -- twelve weeks of firesides, office hours, and sessions, closing out with Demo Day on April 13 in front of thousands of investors - Capital: up to $1M with a two-week close target, plus $10M+ in credits from 200+ partners - Customers: SR Insiders gets you in front of 10,000+ buyers and operators, including 150+ C-suite execs, plus a full day of live demos at AI Faire - Talent: our Talent Network of 171,000+ engineers, designers, and product people. 230+ hires so far, $0 in fees. Plus visa, banking, and housing help if you're coming from abroad - A team of ~40 battle-tested investors and operators who help cover your gaps without adding headcount -- GTM, marketing, brand, talent, fundraising, and more - a16z speedrun is super selective -- fewer than 0.4% of applicants get in. You'll join a tight-knit community of founders from 20+ countries who stay involved as speakers, advisors, and often each other's first customers - Still in school or still finding your idea/team? Check out the alpha fellowship too -- up to $250K for students, recent grads, and dropouts

Every company needs capital to scale and grow. To-date, @speedrun companies have raised nearly $1B. If you want a deeply experienced team in your corner every single step of the way as you navigate early-stage venture, fundraising, and financing, drop an application! Can't wait to work together 🚀

experimenting with a lil personal project: an AI-native macOS dock with custom modes (writing, building, etc.) to help me stay focused my agent is able to customize mode behavior and add new modes, it uses jev to classify my activity + notifications in real time & act on them

Claude Code is now multiplayer. Run `/delta share` in Claude Code, and your teammate joins in their own session with your full context and uncommitted work. You're both working on the same thread, backed by DeltaDB. delta.dev/blog/claude-code-m…

I know I've been prompting my agents correctly when they present interfaces at the grammar, noun, and verb level. Took a lot of skill crafting to get here but god it's refreshing to work at the correct abstraction level and not like "my brother in christ why is this a modal?"

this cycle remains as true as ever. what started with Opus 4.5 led to a year of making my craft as agentic as possible. i've tried many skills, rethought my assumptions about software engineering from first principles. i think i was at the peak of inflated expectations this year. i don't know if i've hit the very trough of disillusionment yet, but i can definitely say coding is not yet solved. i am much more interested now in finding a more happy medium where i make my way towards the plateau of productivity. i'm excited for the frontier to advance but i have to remember that the hype cycle is evergreen.

i'm thinking how to bring this mentality to agentic coding
Many people seem to think the optimal AI writing strategy is "let it write the first draft and then I'll polish it" This is totally wrong Most of the hard work and grappling with the subject matter is in the first draft You have to do that yourself, ideally straight from the dome Then use AI to help with research and critique And then come back again and finish it yourself AI in the middle, never at the start or the end

Today we announce 1Password for Agents platform, building with companies @Muse, SpaceX Super Intelligence Grok @Bot, @AnthropicAI’s @Claudeai, @OpenAI, @TownAI, @Browserbase, @Browser_use, @heydana_ai, Instinct, @usekernel, @Perplexity_ai, @tryramp, @Tomo, and @wajo_ai, with more integrations on the way. 🎉 We've heard from so many of our customers who want to use these new personal AI agents to help them get more done, but want more control over what the agent can access with the same trust and ease of use they get when using 1Password directly. 1Password for Agents gives your agents access without giving up your passwords. When an agent reaches a sign-in form, it requests a credential from your vault. If you approve the request, 1Password directly auto-fills the credential in the destination site so the agent can’t see or take possession of the credentials. The agent gets the task done, but it doesn’t get your passwords.. You stay in control. 1Password for Agents free and optional for personal and family accounts. Unless you opt-in to an agent connector, agents cannot touch your vault. ➡️Learn more: bit.ly/487da6J

ok. i'm on Ardia now ardia.dev/
We've decided to sunset Arc on December 22, 2026. That's not an easy sentence to write. We spent years building Arc and celebrating each and every release along the way: we have so much pride and love for what we made alongside the Arc community. Our priority is to deliver best-in-class security for our members. Keeping a browser secure takes constant, dedicated work that is only increasing in the age of AI. Dia was built from the ground up to meet today’s security standards, so that's where our engineering and security teams will focus moving forward. We've worked to make switching to @diabrowser as easy as possible for Arc members. Here's how: · Your passwords, bookmarks, extensions and history come over to Dia seamlessly. · Spaces, Folders, and Tab Groups are in Dia and import over with your data intact. · Dia now surpasses Arc benchmarks in stability, speed, and security. · The browser features you use in Arc are free in Dia, and the AI is optional. Thank you for using Arc, for pushing us to make it better, and for building alongside us. The team that made Arc is the same team behind Dia, and some of our most ambitious work is just ahead. We'd love for you to be there with us when it lands.

Introducing Ardia, the open-source Arc I've been working on this for a few months now. It's feature-complete, already used by a bunch of former Arc users, and extremely performant. github.com/mantrakp04/ardia

they realized that people were clinging to Arc on its death bed and the only way to get us to stop was to pull the plug and kill it.

thinking through what it might look like to continually queue tasks for an agent. you can move tasks around, pause them, or add more context. it can also skip requests that need more input without stopping the entire session.
