Is there a Republican running in this election on anything OTHER THAN transphobia and/or Islamophobia? Maybe I'm just in Texas now but... I'm not really seeing it? Is it happening?

I would sum up Ken Paxton's message to me, a Texan, as "Pick me or drag queens will tackle you and put you in a frilly dress against your will" and that's just really not one of my main kitchen table issues.

I guess Israeli voters have long had this kind of control over the US government and its foreign policy, but it's crazy to hear the President just come out and say it plainly.

Make fun all you like, but America definitely has at least one single-issue voter for this specific issue and Trump now has their vote for LIFE.

I would honestly watch an entire presidential debate on the topic: "Do America's soldiers need to be more handsome?"

Seeing a lot of "there's no way this is going to be included in the street legal version of this car," and I say, why not. Texting while piloting a electric TIE Fighter can't be that much less safe than an F-150, and these Texas guys are already doing that every day.

I asked my team to curate 250 "tactical & practical" newsletters a year, based on all the amazing growth hacking happening these days. It's $100 a year right now, but when we get to 100 subscribers, it will jump to $250 a year. The goal is to have full-time folks vet this content for our portfolio founders and subscribers. If you're bootstrapped right now and can't afford it, please reply back "bootstrapped" and I will have the team send you a free subscription.

I never left X/Twitter and I don't plan to but it's undeniable that the vibe has changed. It used to be full of comedians and writers and snarky media types and now those people are gone and it's dominated by influencers, tech bros, crypto dorks, and fringe lunatics.

There are lots of things I miss about the way it used to be. It wasn't such a nightmare to get more than 10 RTs in the old place. But I do still mostly enjoy my time here, and I like keeping up with what the tech bros and fringe lunatics are talking about.

Breaking Bad is really clever as a satire of fragile male ego. it’s funny that people thought Walt was an epic badass when the show is about Walt trying to overcome a never-ending series of emasculations as he gets drawn deeper into his childish fantasy of being an epic badass

Refusing to take a side in Clarkson-Gate but I will say... there's a peculiar lack of specifics. I've been on both sides of negative toxic retail encounters and I always recall the crazy awful things that were said to me. These complaints are very vague.

Just drove all the way to Brooklyn to check out this store I thought looked really rad and had a few things in mind to buy and literally was looked at as if I couldn’t afford it and was told he could find something comparable for me. Wow, dude. You’re an idiot and just lost a huge sale. But y’all should go check out Art of Play in Brooklyn if you enjoy being treated like Julia Roberts character in Pretty Woman. For sure, check it out 👎

I have no deeper context here, but "it was just like that scene in Pretty Woman" is the sort of thing I feel like someone would say later to make the story feel more dramatic, because they could not pull a juicier detail.

The thoughts come so slow now, you can detect the moment they arrive on his face, like tape delay. You see him realize "Yeah, I'm gonna say this, I'm gonna call them stupid" several moments before the words arrive.
