For any baseball lovers I have some lore: Trevor Megill who threw the winning pitch in the World Series last night for the Milwaukee Brewers is married to a gal I know. I was brought to their wedding as a last min +1 in 2019 At that point Megill had been in the minors for 5 years. All of her friends urged her to convince him to give up his dream of playing in the pros. Multiple “when is Trevor going to get a real job” jokes were made AT the wedding He kept at it and got called up in 2021, got sent back to the minors in 2023. Got picked up by the Brewers in 2024 and became one of the best closers in the modern day MLB this season. Just won a World Series! All that to say - we can be surrounded by overnight success in our industry and it can sometimes feel like that is possible but it's not!!! Every dollar earned, every milestone, every accomplishment requires a lot of fucking work. Play for the front of the jersey and never give up!
