If you get the opportunity to play football at the next level-you’ve been blessed. Whether it’s D1,D2, D3 NAIA or the Juco route. Half of you have a misconception about NAIA. I hope this helps clear it up…
Key Features of the NAIA
•Scholarships: Unlike NCAA Division III, NAIA schools do offer athletic scholarships. They typically use an "equivalency" model, meaning coaches are given a pool of scholarship money that they can divide into partial scholarships among multiple players.
•Competition Level: The athletic caliber in the NAIA is generally considered comparable to NCAA Division II or high-end Division III. Top-tier NAIA programs regularly compete with and beat lower-tier NCAA D2 and D1 schools.
•Fewer Recruiting Rules: The NAIA has no strict recruiting calendars, dead periods, or communication limits. Coaches can talk to or evaluate high school athletes at any point in the year, making the process much more flexible for recruits.
•Streamlined Eligibility: The NAIA Eligibility Center clears athletes based on straightforward requirements, usually revolving around high school graduation, GPA, and class rank.
You’re welcome.
