The feeling in the locker room postgame was a lot of relief that the bye is here. Lot of guys banged up and fighting through injuries. Didn't seem like RB Tyrone Tracy's hamstring is anything serious. RB Cam Skattebo felt his hamstring on his long run in OT, but he avoided straining it. TE Isaiah Likely also said he was OK after hobbling through the second half at times.

This is the first 5-2 start in Deshaun Watson's career. His previous best starts were 4-3 with the Texans in 2018 and 2019; both teams won the division and advanced to the postseason.

"Nabers and Likely are the only teammates ranked in the NFL’s top 10 in receptions. Nabers is fifth with 41 and Likely is right behind him at 39."
What to watch for with Giants-Texans. *Why Dennard Wilson called members of his defense "traitors" and how they need to respond w/better effort *JJ McCarthy's first start can be easier with 2 things. Find Nabers. Find Likely. That and more.... newsday.com/sports/football/…

Very clear how much the Steelers value both RBs. Dowdle is getting a lot less run than Warren is, but when he's out there, they're going through different ways to get him the football. Bubble screens, passes in the flat, handoffs.

“Knowing when to take off, when to slide and how to protect himself will all be vital elements to McCarthy’s durability. When used judiciously, his ability to operate in the run-pass option world should open lanes for the running backs, a group that has been among the biggest disappointments on the roster.”
One thing to remember about the excited anticipation about J.J. McCarthy’s running ability: He has a real NFL injury history and so caution is advised. nypost.com/2026/10/24/sports…

I asked Malik Nabers if he had a cheat code in adjusting to a new quarterback in-season the way he has. He has caught passes from 8 different QBs in 25 games. His answer: “Get open. Just get open and they’re going to find you.” Nabers has gone over 100 yards in three straight.

The start of this 2026 season has lacked energy for Pickens. He has one touchdown through six weeks. He’s caught 33 passes for 428 yards with one 100-yard game. … With Lamb healthy for the 2026 season, defenses are targeting Pickens.

Coleman could help jump start a struggling running attack. The Broncos rank No. 26 in the NFL in rushing with an average of 84.2 yards per game on the ground.

"An increased workload is expected for Sam Roush...What the Bears want to do offensively won’t change without Kmet. Johnson still has Colston Loveland to count on."
"He’s Chicago": The Bears season will roll on with high hopes but there’s no replacing Cole Kmet. You’re allowed to hate what happened and feel for Kmet. The Bears certainly do. My column for @CHGO_Sports. (Free for all) allchgo.com/bears/hes-chicag…

Something I randomly thought of but Dalton Schultz makes a lot of plays for the offense but almost never gets targets in the end zone. He still has zero on the year I feel like he rarely gets those opportunities, almost had one last week tho
