Show me an OnePlus phone uglier than this. I will wait.

OnePlus 16 is the first OnePlus phone without "Never Settle" in the wallpaper. Another sign that OnePlus is giving themselves up.

It goes without saying that Samsung is by and large the most capable smartphone hardware maker. But unfortunately under current leadership, they would never utilize that potential and concentrate on copying iOS status bar icons instead.

If you think Xiaomi didn't copy Apple in this one, you can unfollow and block me. I don't want below 30IQ subhumans here.

Remember S4 Zoom with continuous optical zoom? Huawei does it this time, but the variable zoom module comes with a magnetic attachment, so you can remove it when you don't need it. So the device itself isn't bulky. Quite clever I would say.

How tables have turned. Chinese brands stopped giving a half shit about charging and now even Samsung and Apple are faster.

OnePlus 16 looks exactly like OnePlus 15. Never saw OnePlus repeating a design like this, which shows they don't really care anymore.

Summary of Apple event: You're gonna see a lot of chinese phones with: 1. Variable aperture 2. iPhone Duo design (1:1 copy) 3. iPhone Duo folding animations 4. Xiaomi/Oppo/Vivo folds suddenly becoming Xiaomi/Oppo/Vivo Duo 5. Under display camera

Variable aperture is useless on phones. For a 1/1.3" tiny sensor, f/1.4-4.0 isn't "hardware portrait mode". Here f/1.4 is ~f/5.0 on full frame, which is already dim & lacks bokeh. In daylight, you can just reduce shutter speed instead of triggering f/4.0 & phones already do that.

But you will see so called influencers hyping it up for next few days. That doesn't make it useful. Samsung and Xiaomi dropped it for a reason.

It's funny how 200MP was gimmick when Samsung introduced it but when Chinese brands started hyping this shit up, it's a revolutionary feature 😅

By the time the brands have started to fool the users with their flashy marketing, keep in mind that a low resolution larger sensor is still way better. 50MP 1.0">>>>>200MP 1/1.3" 50MP 1/1.3">>>>>200MP 1/1.4" 50MP 1/1.4">>>>>200MP 1/1.56"

Tensor G6's biggest let down is its ancient PowerVR GPU. The CPU gap is managable, but GPU is an embarrassing 6 times behind🫩 Imagine paying $1200 to get gaming experience similar to budget phones.

If Samsung makes small upgrades, google has taken it to different world. They will reuse the exact same body, same dimensions, same camera hardware, same parts year after year. Just announce new colors then? It's not funny anymore, at this point it's a criminal offense.
