Brad Ellison, 43, of Greenbrier, was arrested on one count of abuse of a vulnerable person, a Class D felony. While working at the Conway Human Development Center, Ellison allegedly choked the victim, who was a minor and already restrained, causing bruising and scratches. My office is committed to protecting our most vulnerable citizens and holding those who abuse positions of trust accountable. tinyurl.com/ectptzb7 #arnews

There could not have been a more fitting way to begin the @SBGolfChamp than with this morning’s Folds of Honor ceremony at the first tee. The flyover and Patriot Parachute Team jumpers offered a stirring reminder of the courage and commitment of our military members and first responders. I was proud to attend alongside Governor @SarahHuckabee Sanders, @SenTomCotton, @RepFrenchHill, and other elected officials. Today was a powerful reminder that service and sacrifice is asked not only of those in uniform, but their families and loved ones as well. #arnews

Today, I spoke to students at Arkansas High School during the MLK Nonviolence Youth Summit about citizenship, service, leadership and civic pride as we celebrate America’s 250th anniversary. Having traveled to countries around the world, I can say there is no place like America, especially Arkansas. I encouraged students to appreciate the freedoms and opportunities we enjoy as Americans and to recognize the important role they play in shaping our nation's future. #arnews

Today I spoke at the Rotary Club of Texarkana’s 47th Annual Public Safety Officer Appreciation Banquet. I recognized the men and women who work tirelessly to keep our communities safe. Because of their dedication and extraordinary work ethic, we can sleep peacefully at night knowing they are protecting us from dangers we may never see. Their work is also critical to the larger fight against threats like China’s gray zone warfare, illicit massage parlors, and fentanyl on our streets. I am grateful for their service, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to keeping Arkansans safe. #arnews

Today, we launched our One Pill Can Kill initiative at the @UAHopeTexarkana, marking our 17th college campus partnership and 22nd training since launching the program in 2024. We're equipping student leaders with the knowledge to recognize the signs of an opioid overdose and the tools to respond when someone's life is at risk. Thank you to Chancellor Dr. Ricky Tompkins and the UAHT team for partnering with us to help save lives! tinyurl.com/y5269txy #arnews

Contraband cellphones allow dangerous prisoners to continue criminal activity behind bars, threatening correctional officers and the public. I joined @SenTomCotton and @BrendanCarrFCC today to announce that the @FCC will vote November 19 on rules allowing correctional facilities to jam these illegal devices. The FCC's upcoming vote represents an important step toward giving correctional facilities the ability to shut down these illegal communications and keep our communities safe. tinyurl.com/45z33948 #arnews

Today, I launched my One Pill Can Kill initiative at @ASUBeebe, the 16th college campus to join this lifesaving effort. Since 2024, we've trained nearly 3,000 students across Arkansas on the dangers of illicit opioids and how to respond to an overdose. It might seem like a harmless choice to take a pill at a party, but one pill could be the last decision a person ever makes. We’re helping avoid those tragedies through this training. tinyurl.com/4kh3w7kf #arnews

I’ve joined the FTC and 19 other states in suing Dollar General over alleged deceptive pricing practices that have cost consumers millions of dollars. Arkansans should not have to pay more at the register than the price advertised on the shelf. My office will continue holding businesses accountable for deceptive practices that hurt Arkansas consumers. tinyurl.com/3sb3a4ev #arnews

If you’re not safe, you’re not free, and the @ARStatePolice stand on the front lines protecting both our safety and our freedom. Last night’s Arkansas State Police Foundation dinner at the Governor’s Mansion was a powerful reminder of how much the Foundation does for our troopers, their families, and law enforcement training across our state. Congratulations to Elizabeth Anderson on receiving the Trooper Ermon Cox Award and thank you for your unwavering dedication to those who wear the badge. #arnews

Amanda Patton, 46, of Maynard, was sentenced to 72 months in the Arkansas Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to abuse of an endangered or impaired adult. Patton spent more than $84,000 of the victim’s funds while serving as power of attorney. This length of sentence reinforces our unwavering commitment to protecting Arkansans and holding those who exploit our vulnerable population accountable. tinyurl.com/9uw83fn2 #arnews
