We appreciate the Administration’s commitment to strengthening kidney care and expanding access to transplantation, as outlined in the Kidney Care National Plan. As transplant surgeons, we remain dedicated to supporting and strengthening the vital public-private partnership between the transplant community and the OPTN. We urge the Administration to continue advancing OPTN Modernization and call on Congress to pass the Living Donor Protection Act (LDPA), removing barriers that prevent living organ donation and improving access to lifesaving transplants.
