I’m really not the biggest fan of Tom King. I don’t care for him as a person and his writing to me has always come off as pretentious. I’ve read about 6 books written by him and I’ve only enjoyed two of them.
However, I really do love his Mister Miracle series. I kinda wanna make a thread about it but I low key don’t wanna get yelled at 💀 still debating if I should drop it.

#Clayface I really dug this! The film is so well paced & immediately hooks you into Matt Hagen’s tragic story. DCU’s Gotham feels as grimy & alive as I could hope. The body horror is GNARLY . Coming from someone who HATES the solo villain movie trend I was pretty happy with this!

I know it's probably temporary, but I think at the rate they've been sniping comic sites, it seems pretty fair for people to be worried about losing one of the last real good websites for reading comics.

Reading comics is an extremely expensive hobby. Especially these days. It’s just difficult for most people to seriously engage with the medium. And it’s heartbreaking because everybody should be able to READ. To read anything they want at any moment they want. The difficulty of getting into comics isn’t often “where do I start?” but “how do I start?”
I hope that site returns.

I think that speaks volumes to how audiences (mostly fans) view receptions to projects they’re excited for. EVERYBODY has to ADORE it or else it’s doom and gloom. Too much stock is put into other people’s opinions rather than their own.
The fact that you’re willing to give one negative review so much weight while overlooking dozens of positive ones says something deeply concerning about the state of social media discourse surrounding DC.
