What a perfect answer!
EL-SAYED: At the end of the day, I actually don't think about Haley Stevens. See what I'm saying?
I think about the 9,999,998 people who are not those two. Because you know what? I'm just less interested in the politics of it all than I am in the policy of it all.
If you're somebody who believes that we ought to have more rights, not less, then I would think you would support me in this race.
If you are somebody who believes that we should stand up to hate, and you have watched this last campaign, I think we probably would not want to support Mike Rogers and Donald Trump and JD Vance.

Ok, here's an interesting factoid. As dissapointing as @oregonfootball record of 5-3 is for that perennial powerhouse program, their record against ranked teams this season is 3-1 and the one loss to undefeated UCLA was by 2 points. Kind of intriguing to me.

So, even though we just finished the @WNBA season (a great one) I am already intrigued by two burning questions for next year. 1. If she doesn't retire, which team will DeWanna Bonner abandon next year at some point in the season. 2. Which team will she then join to try and get a title. The ploy didn't work two seasons in a row but, hey, they always say, third time's a charm.

Shameful. Just a sore loser, plain and simple and she's willing to put the balance of the Senate & our Democracy in danger because she is a sore loser.

I've been a Las Vegas resident since 1988 & rooted for @unlvfootball all that time. The team had mostly had terrible records until 3 yrs ago when things changed. During that long period of time a 5-3 record at this point of the season would have made all Vegas fans deliriously happy. Today, after barely beating an 0-7 NIU with a defensive performance that was very bad, few of the fans seem deliriously happy. Our expectations have been raised by 3 good seasons. I'm going to remember those forlorn times & remember to be happy for a 5-3 record and very likely a fourth straight winning season. Go Rebels.

Every person on this team had something to prove when they came to the @valkyries. They all worked hard individually and collectively to become winners. And they were well coached by a dedicated woman. It is one of the great sports stories of our time.
In 2024 just before the season opener, Veronica Burton learned she had been cut by the Dallas Wings. After being drafted 7th overall in 2022, it just never quite clicked. She averaged just 2.4ppg in 2023. Burton says she was embarrassed, she went home & worked out in a YMCA with her high school coach, waiting for her shot. The Connecticut Sun picked her up later that season, and the Valkyries saw her special potential. They picked her in the expansion draft, she was the 2025 WNBA Most Improved Player, and now she’s a champion. Resilience. #valkyries

This woman did a fantastic job. quite a story.
5’2 guard Natalie Nakase had a dream school coming out HS: UCLA. She decided to bet on herself & walk-on. Nakase tore her ACL & missed her entire freshman year, but kept going. She later became the team’s starting PG & captain. Nakase tried to play pro but another knee injury led her to transition to coaching. She spent 4 years earning her stripes overseas in Japan & Germany. In 2012, she joined the Clippers staff as a video intern, a thankless job. She steadily climbed the ranks over a decade, breaking barriers as an assistant coach at summer league. In 2022, Nakase was a finalist for a head coaching job with the Mercury, but got passed over. So she joined Becky Hammon’s staff in Las Vegas. Nakase won titles and learned while waiting for her chance. The Valkyries saw her leadership, her vision, she was named the first head coach for the expansion franchise. Now she’s the first Asian American head coach to win a WNBA title in just her 2nd season. Trailblazer.

I love Kate Scott as a basketball play by play announcer for many reasons & one is that does not overtalk an event. Here she & her two analysts do the best & hardest thing announcers can do. They remain silent fior over a minute & let a historic moment speak for itself. These days in sports broadcasting this kind of perfect editorial decision by the announcers and or their producer its all almost never made. Bravo.

Ther performance by Gabby Williams tonight was as good as it gets in basketball. She is an amazing clutch player & tonight she put the Valkyries on her back in the 2nd half & carried them to a world title. This team has created an amazing story. First team in 30 yr. history of #WNBA to win a title with no all WNBA player on the roster. The whole equals a lot more than the sum of the parts.
Impossible to overlook. Impossible to ignore.
Your 2026 @WNBA Finals MVP, Gabby Williams.
Gabby is the only player in WNBA Finals history to record 30+ points, 4+ blocks and 2+ steals in a game.

This was a very correct statement about the Ryan-Dolan fight. I will be commenting on the continuing fallout, even fueled by Dolan's comments, when I do my hot topics segment on next edition iof @WomensBoxingOff

Well, when I posted this I said there was a a lot go football still to play and sure enough, SMU has made it 20-17 and offense is rolling again.
Upset alert with Syracuse leading 19th ranked @SMUFB at half time by 10. Still a lot of football to play though.

Arizona and Texas Tech are playing like the ranked teams they are in one of the best match-ups of the day. I'm sure on @Espn College Football Final show tonight it will only get 30 seconds of highlights after the 6th SEC highlights featuring middle of the pack squads from that conference. The over/under on when we see it in the hour long show is 20 minutes into the show. Will it go over or under?
