wonderful. I tripped over a loose rug at Christ's College and fell right in front of Mac who without mising a beat said " gratitude one thing young man, prostration quite unnecessary"

Wow -- that's a lot of reading for 99 p! Can't recommend it enough!
My book is a staggering 99p on Kindle day in the @AmazonKindle daily deal. It’s still £25 in hardback so this is quite the bargain!

There is a reason that tax is done once a year. Over a year, you can provide for it. It's difficult, and sometimes you have to make hard decisions. But making freelancers pay tax monthly when they have zero income that month is insane!

Today is Balaclava Day. The anniversary of the Charge of the Light Brigade, marked on this day in perpetuity by the cavalry regiments that participated. My own regiment, The Royal Hussars (PWO) @royal_hussars marks it with “Gunfire” at dawn - tea with rum, as handed out to the troopers on that morning in 1854. To the six hundred! HUZZAR! “Half a league, half a league, half a league onward, All in the valley of Death Rode the six hundred. 'Forward, the Light Brigade! Charge for the guns!”
