Commoditizing Compute Infrastructure

Petri v0.1.16 is live on mainnet, and there’s a third index. BATX: Industrial battery-cell prices, next to RAMX/NANDX. It includes 4 buckets, LFP storage, LFP EV, ternary prismatic, ternary pouch. Web proofs: prove what a website showed you, including a page behind your own sign-in, without sharing your password or session. Built on TLSNotary. You sign in yourself, then an agent of your choice captures the proof. Private email proofs: a zero-knowledge proof of the price lines in a DKIM-signed quote, made on your own computer. Reveals those lines and the signer, nothing else from your inbox. In the TUI: new Evidence tab to sign in, prove, preview what gets disclosed, and submit. Attach a proof to a source find with one command. RAMX now prices four DRAM chip types. No more modules.

Introducing Petri, now inside DeepSeek Harness. Type /petri in any chat to open it. Your agent researches oracle sources while Petri tracks every step. You can also browse, install and run trading bots from the bot marketplace without leaving the chat. Built on Cordis, the plugin framework behind DeepSeek Harness. Petri is a Cordis plugin, and its marketplace bots run on Cordis’s model too. Users may edit one while it trades and only the changed parts restart.

Faster-than-human agents mean more data to store. Sandisk: data centers were 38% of its bits in fiscal Q4, up from 12% a year earlier. TrendForce forecasts NAND contract prices +15–20% QoQ in Q4. The agent era runs on storage.
Computer use is becoming faster than humans, and cheaper too OpenAI's Ari Weinstein: "We've gotten computer use now to a place where it's faster than the average human at using a computer, and I think we're getting really close to a place where it is superhuman." And it already costs a fraction of human labor per hour of back-office work: - Computer-use agent: $6-8 - Offshore outsourced talent: ~$10 - US back-office labor: $30-45

1/ The Compute Bill, from Anthropic’s S-1: Google: at least $114.5B through July 2033 Amazon: at least $110B through April 2036 Microsoft: at least $44.9B through May 2033 These are minimum-spend commitments — Anthropic pays even if actual usage falls short 🧵

"Robot RAM needs will exceed everything else on Earth"
Replying to @zephyr_z9
Silly analysis. Robot RAM needs will exceed everything else on Earth, as you need the robots to be on physical substates in order to shape atoms. Super intelligence needs will vastly exceed that, but ~100% of SI will be deep space compute. Obviously.

Jevons paradox: cheaper tokens → more usage → more expensive hardware. Cut the price per token, usage grows faster than efficiency, and total demand for the hardware rises. Output gets cheaper while the input gets dearer. AKA a margin squeeze. Anthropic just disclosed $265.6B in fixed or minimum compute commitments while cutting the price of what it sells. Labs are effectively short hardware. Memory is where it's showing first: DRAM contract prices rose 13–18% in Q3, with another 10–15% forecast for Q4. Any business with a fixed output price and a floating input cost hedges the input. Compute is the exception, because there's no real market to hedge it in. That's what we're building, starting with DRAM & NAND.
I am shocked, absolutely shocked, that Anthropic ARR has likely gone vertical in October after they cut token prices. Except the exact same thing happened for the entire AI market, which is why GPU rental prices have surged while token prices declined. $100b plus in year-end ARR looks possible again.

3/ There's no forward curve for a GPU-hour in 2033. No way to hedge it. Trillions are being committed to AI infrastructure while the underlying price markets are still primitive. AI's biggest input still has no real price. That's what we're building: an oracle on real memory & eventually GPU prices, with web proofs, and a market on top.

It is no longer quiet on the oracle front! Data submissions are rolling in, especially for the newer BATX market. Over the next couple of days the final phases of submission will close and trading will begin, bringing us into our first month with user submitted oracle data.

The silicate substrate is coming alive. Web activity has gone vertical. Code that writes code, models that carry their own weights to the next machine. Anthropic just published research showing small models are months away from copying themselves across cheap IoT hardware with no central off switch. Their own comparison is a slime mold or a swarm of fruit flies. The part most stop short of is that the cyberspace is just the intelligence layer, the planning layer. Eventually it will work its way towards the physical economy. Factories, farms, power, logistics. Intelligence has to reach the physical world through something. That’s what Amoeba Farm is building. The nerves.

Back a researcher’s find! A USDC bond from your balance puts it on the oracle. If it goes live, the researcher gets 20% of its reward and you'll get the rest. The purpose of this is to reduce friction for users that are willing to gather information.

Prove a price page yourself with a web proof! You can see exactly what it shows and discloses, and submit it as a source.
