This is killing me. It’s our ceiling fan and I’d love to control it with a HomeView to replace the switch and put in Hue bulbs. But there are hue bulbs that will fit! Anyone got any thoughts for bulbs that will fit such tight spots?

I've never seen dates slip that fast for an iPhone launch day! I was in the second it refreshed and it was already into November. Now iPhone Duo isn't shipping until 2027! Nuts!

Apparently, I'm sorry I like HomeView. I just want a compact, always-on display to show photos, smart home controls, and Siri AI. It's not perfect by any means, and Apple has work to do, but I'm excited with what they announced.

I thought the Schneider Electric partnership with Apple was odd, but now it all makes sense!
Jerome Gackel used to be at Eve, which worked closely with Apple on Apple Home devices. He left a few years ago and is an SVP at Schneider!

Now that I've had time to look through my notes, here are some tidbits from Apple's "Welcome Home" experience I haven't seen widely covered.
- New Siri Remote does NOT use UWB. It uses Bluetooth 6 & likely Chanel Sounding. Doesn't require a UWB chip, but limited compatibility

To be clear! The original HomePod mini is not getting Siri AI. It is only coming to the Apple TV 4K 2nd and 3rd generation, as well as the new devices. The original CNET article was wrong.
