🚨 THIERRY HENRY ON THE BALLON D’OR: “IF LAMINE YAMAL WINS IT OVER KYLIAN MBAPPÉ, THEN WE NEED TO STOP PRETENDING THIS AWARD IS ABOUT FOOTBALL!” 🗣️ Thierry Henry: “I have a lot of respect for Lamine Yamal. He is an extraordinary talent, and at his age, what he is doing is frightening. But I want people to answer one simple question: are we giving the Ballon d’Or to the best player, or are we giving it to the player whose story we enjoy the most? “Because I keep hearing about potential, age, dribbling and entertainment. Wonderful. But since when did the Ballon d’Or become an award for who excites us the most? “Kylian Mbappé has spent years carrying expectations that would break most players. He scores goals, delivers in decisive moments and performs under pressure. Yet somehow, every conversation becomes about what somebody else might achieve in five years. “Lamine is 19. He has time. He could win one Ballon d’Or, five Ballon d’Ors, or none. We don’t know. But Mbappé is already producing at the highest level, and we cannot keep treating what he has actually achieved as less important than what another player might achieve in the future. “And let me say something that might upset people: being the most exciting player to watch does not automatically make you the best player in the world. “Football is not a talent show. It is about production, consistency, decisive moments and what you contribute when the pressure is at its highest. “If Lamine wins it, I will respect the decision. But I want the same people campaigning for him to explain exactly why he deserves it over Mbappé. Not because he is younger. Not because he represents the future. Not because people love watching him. “Give me the football argument. “Because if we start awarding the Ballon d’Or based on potential, then we might as well hand out the next ten trophies before the seasons even begin. “You don’t win the Ballon d’Or because you might become the best player in the world. You win it because, over the period being judged, you actually were.”

🚨 Javier Tebas on the tragic passing of CD Tenerife striker Jesús de Miguel and the questions surrounding player safety: 🎙️ Interviewer: “Javier, the entire Spanish football community is mourning the tragic passing of Jesús de Miguel. What is your reaction? Javier Tebas: “Honestly, there are moments when football stops being football. Today is one of those moments. A young man went out to play the game he loved, and his family will never get to welcome him home again. That is heartbreaking. My deepest condolences go to his family, friends, teammates and everyone at CD Tenerife. No statement, no tribute and no words can possibly fill the space he has left behind. Interviewer: “Does this incident raise serious questions about player safety and responsibility on the pitch? Javier Tebas: “Every serious collision must be treated with the utmost attention. Football is a contact sport, but that does not mean we should ever become comfortable with the risks players face. The collision with Jesús Owono is a devastating reminder of how quickly things can change in football. I want to be clear: this is not about pointing fingers at Owono or turning a tragedy into a search for someone to blame. He was also involved in an extremely distressing incident. We must understand exactly what happened, examine whether anything could have been done differently and learn from this tragedy. This is not about rushing to blame anyone, especially before the facts are established. Today, there are no rivalries, no competitions and no football politics. There is only a family grieving the loss of someone they loved. Jesús, may you rest in peace. Football will remember you.”

Only 3 Manchester United players made this combined XI, this shows how poor we're. This is where INEOS have failed this club. Average signings every transfer window, yet people called it smart business. Manchester United’s standards have dropped massively. We’re seeing the reality of what this ownership is building, and it’s nowhere near the level of a club like United. Absolute disgrace. Thank you, INEOS and co.

🚨 “A Challenge Like That Should Never End in Such Tragedy.” José Mourinho Reacts to Miguel’s Death: 🗣️ “Having watched the footage several times, you can see just how devastating that collision was. Jesús Owono came rushing out of his goal to deal with a dangerous ball, doing what goalkeepers are expected to do in such situations. With the striker approaching and everything happening at full speed, he had only a split second to make a decision. Unfortunately, the collision was horrific, and the outcome is one nobody could ever have anticipated. “This is the cruel side of football. We celebrate the beautiful moments, the goals, the victories and the passion, but sometimes we are reminded that the game can be incredibly unforgiving. One moment, players are competing for three points, and the next, an unimaginable tragedy has occurred. My thoughts and deepest condolences go out to Miguel’s family. No parent, sibling or loved one should ever have to endure such heartbreaking loss. “I also feel deeply for Jesús Owono. From what we have seen, he was attempting to do his job and protect his goal. I cannot imagine the emotional trauma of being involved in an incident with such a devastating outcome. The shock, the pain and the psychological burden of knowing what happened will be incredibly difficult to process. He will need support just as much as everyone else involved. “We must be careful not to turn this heartbreaking incident into an opportunity to assign blame. Football is a contact sport, and sometimes things happen in a split second that nobody can control or foresee. That does not make the outcome any less painful, but pointing fingers will not bring Miguel back. The priority now must be supporting his family and ensuring that everyone affected by this tragedy receives the care and compassion they need. “Rest in peace, Miguel. My heart goes out to everyone who loved you. May your family find the strength to get through this incredibly difficult time, and may Jesús Owono also find the support he needs to cope with what has happened. Some moments remind us that football is only a game, but life is everything.”

🚨 Gary Neville on the tragic collision between Jesús Owono and Jesús de Miguel during FC Andorra vs Tenerife: 🗣️ Gary Neville: “I’m struggling to understand what the goalkeeper was thinking in that moment. Coming out to challenge for the ball is one thing, but the manner and force of that collision were extremely concerning. Football is a competitive sport, but there must always be a level of responsibility. You are challenging another human being, not a training cone. What makes this tragedy even more heartbreaking is that Jesús de Miguel was only 30 years old. He had a family, loved ones and a future ahead of him. Now, those people have lost someone they can never replace. I’m not going to sit here and pretend this was just another unfortunate football incident. It deserves serious examination, and the appropriate authorities must establish exactly what happened. I feel for his family, his teammates and everyone at Tenerife. My thoughts are with them. Football is never more important than human life. No match, no result and no three points are worth this.”

🚨Gian Piero Gasperini on Roma facing Manchester United tonight. 🎙️Reporter: Gian Piero, what is your assessment of facing Manchester United tonight? 🗣️Gasperini: Honestly, it’s funny how people still talk about Manchester United as if they’re one of the biggest clubs in world football. What exactly makes them a big club today? For the past 15 years, they haven’t been anywhere near the level people expect from a club of that size. Look at their performances this season. They are struggling against almost everybody, and judging by what I’ve seen, I wouldn’t be surprised if they ended up fighting relegation by the end of the season. With all due respect, we are coming to Old Trafford to win, not to admire their history. I genuinely believe we can score four or five goals tonight. Their defence looks vulnerable, their confidence is gone, and we know exactly how to punish them. Manchester United might still have a big name, but names don’t win football matches anymore. Tonight, we want to show them the difference between having history and being a great team right now.

Toda a gente é diferente. Estamos a trabalhar juntos como um grupo para ultrapassar esta má sequência de resultados. A culpa é nossa por não termos estado a ganhar jogos. O treinador fez o trabalho dele. Agora a responsabilidade de ganhar é nossa. Vamos começar isso com uma vitória sobre a AS Roma.”

I'm still trying to understand where this confidence that some united fans are having in Manchester United beating Roma at Old Trafford is coming from. 😭 We lost to Bournemouth and drew against Tottenham at home. We've reached a point where Old Trafford is no longer a fortress opponents are beating us home and away. Lower your expectations mf! These United players and Carrick aren't giving us any reason to be confident.

🚨🚨DID YOU SEE THAT? 😮😮🙆‍♂️🙆‍♂️ This is Just INHUMAN. Why would Owono make such a tackle on "Jesus de Miguel" and still went for an Handshake?🤝 WHY? I Still think this was PERSONAL, and should be treated lawfully. What do you think?
Why does this Owono tackle on Jesus de Miguel feel so PERSONAL? He immediately walked away after the incident without remorse, but what exactly justified such a reckless challenge? Why would a player go out of his way to knee a player in the middle of the pitch? What kind of Black People mentality is this? This is not professionalism. It is an act of sheer recklessness and unacceptable aggression that has no place in football. Such behaviour should warrant an official disciplinary inquiry and a lengthy suspension. No professional league should tolerate this level of unnecessary violence on the pitch without serious consequences. Football is a competitive sport, not a platform for personal vendettas. There must be accountability.

🚨 Jamie Carragher on Manchester United standing by Michael Carrick after sacking Ruben Amorim “I’m hearing this defence of Carrick and I can’t decide whether it’s funny or just frustrating. Apparently the players have finally decided they can’t keep hiding behind managers. That’s a realisation that should have arrived about three managers ago. Think about Ruben Amorim for a second. He left Sporting after building a team with a clear identity and real standards. He arrives at United and says he needs intensity and players willing to do what the system demands. The club agrees. Then he starts asking whether this is the squad to build around and whether he’ll actually be backed. The message quickly becomes that he should be more careful with his words. When results slip, he’s out. Now Carrick is struggling and the line is that the players feel responsible, the club believes in Michael, and nobody has gone behind his back. Where was that patience when Amorim was in the job?”

I don't believe Jesús Owono went into that challenge with the intention of causing such a devastating outcome, and nobody should have to live with something like this. However, the decision to rush so far out of his goal and challenge for that ball in such a manner deserves serious scrutiny. It was an extremely reckless challenge, and the consequences have been heartbreaking. A red card was the immediate punishment, but what happens next? Will there be further disciplinary action? Football is a game, and no game should ever end with someone losing their life. My heart goes out to De Miguel's family. May he rest in peace. 💔

🚨 Carrick We’re Ready for Roma I Believe We’ll Take the Three Points: 🎙️Reporter: Michael, great to have you with us ahead of what looks like a really tough test against Roma tonight. How well prepared do you feel the team is going into this one, and how much confidence do you have that the lads can go out there and take all three points? 🗣️Carrick: Thank you, it’s good to be here. Look, the preparation has been really strong. We’ve worked hard on the training pitch, looked at Roma in detail, and the players have been fully focused all week. This club has an incredible history and a group of players who understand what it means to wear this shirt. I genuinely believe we can win the game and get the three points. Of course, football can throw up anything on the night that’s the beauty and the challenge of it but our mindset is clear. We’re here to perform, to make the fans proud, and to come away with the victory. 🎙️Reporter: You mention the history and the mentality. How important is that belief within the dressing room when you’re facing a side with the quality Roma have? 🗣️Carrick: It’s huge. When you’ve got players who know the standards expected at this club and who buy into the way we want to play, it gives you a real foundation. We’ve spoken about being aggressive, controlled, and brave on the ball. The lads have responded really well in training, and I trust them to go out and show that quality tonight. Roma are a strong team, no question, but if we stick to our plan and stay together as a group, I’m confident we can get the result we want.

🚨 Declan Rice on Arsenal’s ambition to win the Champions League this season: “Listen, we’re not here just to participate in the Champions League. We want to win it. We know what this competition means to the club, the supporters and everyone in that dressing room. We’ve come close, we’ve experienced disappointment, and we’ve learned from it. But this season, we want to go all the way. We want to look every European giant in the eye and make them understand that Arsenal are not afraid of anybody. People can keep talking about Real Madrid’s experience, Bayern’s pedigree and Barcelona’s history. We respect every club, but we’re not travelling around Europe to admire other people’s trophies. We want that trophy at the Emirates. We want to bring it home, and if anybody has a problem with Arsenal dreaming that big, that’s their problem. We’re Arsenal. We’re not coming to Europe to make up the numbers. We’re coming to collect what we’ve never won before.”
