On October 6, our Co-Founder and CEO Bridget Li joined Vincent Ng, Managing Director and Head of Asia at
@partnersgroup, at the Solana Capital Forum in Singapore, an invitation-only gathering hosted by the
@SolanaFndn during TOKEN2049 week. Their joint session, “Private Markets Royalties on Solana”, looked at how institutional-grade royalty assets can move on-chain.
Music and film royalties are the income a work earns each time it is streamed, licensed or distributed. The cash flows are long-dated and tied to how the works are used, but the asset class has mostly stayed in private markets. As of July 31, 2026, Partners Group's royalties platform stood at around USD 2.2 billion, spanning more than 50 investments and over 100,000 royalty streams, including The Weeknd's catalogue and a portfolio of well-known film and TV titles. Guests could scan a code at the session to listen to a playlist drawn from that catalogue.
The pathway Bridget and Vincent presented has three layers. Partners Group provides the institutional royalty portfolio. Asseto provides the technology and operations for tokenization, covering compliance workflows and ongoing servicing.
@solana provides settlement, distribution and composability. The aim is to make royalty exposure programmable, transferable and financeable, so holders can use it as collateral, subject to the terms of the relevant product documentation, and reach secondary liquidity.
NGI+ follows the same approach, it is already live on
@pendle_fi, where its principal and yield trade separately in an open market. Bringing an asset on-chain is the first step, and what counts is what holders can do with it afterward.
From private infrastructure to royalties, more private market assets are finding a path on-chain. As the roles of asset managers, infrastructure providers and networks become clearer, these assets may come to do far more on-chain than simply being held, and that is what we will keep building toward.
