Presumably a full post-mortem of the US mid-terms will show demographic changes keep on making it harder for the centre-right to win at each successive election.
No doubt Albanese is hoping for a similar benefit in 2028. But he's just building on work the LNP has already done.
Vivek Ramaswamy is getting absolutely wrecked in the Ohio Governor's race, behind by almost 30 percentage points.
Poliwave has called the race for Democrat Amy Acton.
Being a zero-conviction politician in Modern Australia must be exhausting.
Always assessing how much time to spend pandering to each ethnic group. Always calculating how much taxpayer money you can promise to one ethnic group without annoying everyone else.
Tough gig.
Many people like to blame other generations for mass immigration.
Looking at this chart, I’d say every generation deserves some blame.
That said, the black line did rise quite gradually at various stages - we were like the frog in slowly heating water.
We’re noticing it now.
🚨🇦🇺 NEW: Andy Burnham and Anthony Albanese are set to discuss increasing restrictions on British backpackers using Working Holiday Visas in Australia
Proposals include removing an exemption that means Brits don’t have to do rural work to extend their visa as well as the introduction of a migration cap
Many blame mass immigration & multiculturalism in Australia on external forces or sinister elites.
The reality is more mundane.
Millions of us - including millions with Anglo-Celtic ancestry - support these policies.
Yes, they were indoctrinated. But they are true believers.
Many nationalists assume that the case for a coherent nation is so strong that a huge majority of our compatriots must agree with us.
But huge numbers of them don’t.
Many of them are liberals & leftists. And many of them just like cheap labour & expensive housing.
Diversity. Stability. Freedom.
Pick two.

If you dial up diversity, you need to dial down freedom in order to maintain stability.
That's why leftists love diversity so much. Cultural fragmentation increases the power of the state.
Australian employers should be Australian patriots.
Lobby for welfare reform. Lobby for smaller government. Lobby for lower taxes. Lobby for cheap energy. Lobby for more vocational training. Lobby for less red tape.
Stop lobbying for cheap foreign labour.
Lobby for Australia.
Karl Stefanovic has interviewed a Sydney restaurateur who claimed new immigration crackdowns will make running a restaurant untenable.

These politicians are never honest & explicit about how many more people they want to import from various foreign countries.
They never say: "We have about one million people born in India living here right now. I think we should increase that to 5 million as soon as possible."
Light over darkness. That message is more important than ever.
Every Victorian deserves to be safe, no matter where they’re from, what language they speak or who they pray to.
Happy Diwali to all who celebrate.
Any employer who seeks to secure an endless supply of cheap foreign labour is no friend of the Australian people & deserves to be ostracised for his or her unpatriotic behaviour.
These people should be lobbying for reforms, not workforce replacement.

Not sure what @elonmusk is up this weekend, but he needs to restore the circle that shows how many characters you have left when drafting a post on your iPhone.
I need to know where my 280 limit is.
This week’s instalment of my @Aus_Bloodlines series covers a County Cork matriarch.
It’s often hard to identify a specific Irish ancestor, but corroborating evidence from Australian records can sometimes establish the connection.
All part of the fun of amateur genealogy.
This week’s ancestor: Margaret O’Brien.
Margaret was from County Cork, but many women from County Cork had the same name as she did. We can identify her specifically by matching details from siblings’ Australian marriage & death certificates with Irish baptism records.
Read on.
In my experience, the main challenges to learning about Irish ancestors are:
- many records were destroyed in the Civil War
- many parish records are not digitised yet
- parish marriage records tend not to name the parents of the bride & groom
- land records don’t identify the wife of property occupiers
- many priests had terrible handwriting
People from poor countries move to a rich country in search of a more comfortable life, but it often imposes severe emotional & psychological costs on themselves & their children.
So many of them are alienated & envious of the people who built that country & who feel at home in that country.
