“And finally—to the child walking into a school that hasn’t been built yet, with a notebook slipping against his arm. Inside, a poster on the wall is crooked. Someone taped it in a hurry and left one corner hanging.”
"...the screen in his hand played footage of Khartoum burning. We’re good at that silence now... I kept thinking: Does everyone I love do the same? Carry so much that they stop feeling it, until a stranger has to cry for them?" africasacountry.com/2026/10/…

“Our species has been playing this game for at least 4,000 years. It’s as much an expression of the human spirit as music and literature. If AI continues to bulldoze pure math, it’s going to crush the hopes of the young people who were dreaming of joining this tradition.”
My field is as much an expression of the human spirit as music and literature. Is it for the machines now? @stevenstrogatz theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/1…

It's confusing. Trump claims there is a "genocide" in South Africa -- but he never lists it among the "shithouse countries" or the "terror-infested" countries.
.@POTUS: "...migrants from terror-infested countries like Libya, Yemen, Haiti, Somalia. Remember what I called them? Shithouse countries... I said, 'Why do we always have to take people from shithouse countries? Why can't we take people from like, well, Norway, Sweden?'" 🔥

Welcome to the world of cacophony! Journalism has ceased to exist in India.
Preeti: “Anyone can hire an influencer. If a rich man from Punjab sitting in Canada hires Mia Khalifa & Rihanna, that is NOT foreign FUNDING.” 🤯 Akshita: “That is an INSULT to the FARMERS then.” 🎯 Gaurav Sawant: “Greta Thunberg literally tweeted out the ENTIRE TOOLKIT. 💥 => Akshita Nandagopal & Gaurav Sawant ripped the logic to shreds. Meanwhile, Pooja Shali sitting there enjoying every second of it. 🔥
