3 things have made a difference in my life and career. Regardless of where I spend a birthday (usually not home 😔) but: reflection on all things good in life, physical/ mental health, and learn something new. Thanks to Russ Barnes for a providing a great read for Veterans. Well done. #ittybitty

First of the month! #Leadershipandanapkin #40 We don’t learn resilience on our best days. We learn it when things fall apart. The question isn’t “why did this happen?” It’s “what did this teach me about moving forward?” #Staycalibrated

It is the first of the month...Napkin time! 😊 #Leadershipandanapkin (Uncertainty) As a kid, the monster under the bed felt real. In leadership, uncertainty feels the same. But here’s what I’ve learned: Uncertainty doesn’t trap you. Inaction does. 🛑 Clarity doesn’t come before movement. It comes from it. The hardest thing in leadership is not knowing what to do, it is seeing clearly enough to move. #Staycalibrated

If you are going to be delayed in an airport, two things are essential: a good read and refreshments 😊 My “grab and go book” 📖 by Tony Fish was the right grab 👏🏾. He and I are in synch in a lot of ways about decision making in uncertainty. 🧐 A fuller review later once I unpack the rest. Thanks for sending Tony! 5⭐️

“Leader maps” are only as good as the terrain they were drawn for. When conditions change faster than the map can be updated, it doesn’t fail you, it simply runs out. Following a map works when the path is known. But when the terrain shifts, navigation changes. Orientation, a calibrated compass, and a clear sense of direction matter more than a perfect plan. In uncertainty, values, clarity, and judgment aren't helpful...they are essential. #StayCalibrated
