Excited to launch our book, Autonomous Software Factory! 👉 amazon.com/dp/B0HPFFZWSD Building OpenFactoryAI.co taught us a lot: the wins, the wrong turns, the late-night rewrites, and the ideas that finally taking shape. This book is the honest playbook that came out of it, written vendor-neutral, for how AI can turn software creation into a repeatable, reliable system and drive real value for the people it serves. From the chapters: - Chapter 9, The Review Wall Teams with high AI adoption merged 98% more pull requests, and review time rose 91% (Faros, 2025). Review is the factory's real capacity. Everything waiting on it is inventory. - Chapter 18, The Vanishing Harness Every harness feature is a bug report against the model, and the model is listening. Build so the harness can disappear and nothing that matters goes with it. - Chapter 19, Memory Rent the model. Own the memory. The test: if your model supplier vanished tomorrow, could you still read, run and trust your specs, tests and production history? To celebrate, the team did something with zero screens: we went on a hike. 🥾⛰️ Fresh air, tired legs, and a lot of laughter about how far we've come. A huge thank you to our design partners and supporters for making this happen. Your feedback, trust, and real-world use cases shaped every chapter. This book is as much yours as ours. 🙏 👉 amazon.com/dp/B0HPFFZWSD

I was pleasantly surprised by this podcast featuring @Tejasvi_Surya, MP from South Bengaluru, and @prathoshap, Professor at IISc and Founder of LatentForce, discussing how AI is reshaping society and the world around us. One point from Tejasvi Surya really stood out: For the first time, even politicians don't have a playbook to refer to. We are entering uncharted territory. It calls for open debates, rethinking established assumptions, and fundamentally questioning how our social structures need to evolve in the age of AI. Kudos to both for having such an open and thought-provoking debate. These are exactly the conversations we need as AI reshapes society. The podcast is worth watching (though parts of it are in Kannada!). piped.video/94pddy_bijM

I would love to build AI base on Moon and bridge satellites to stream to earth.
A ‘hello world’ milestone for Project Suncatcher 🚀 After launching our prototype satellite a few weeks ago, we’ve now successfully sent a command up to orbit, booted up the TPU, ran the prompt, and received our first complete response back on earth - a haiku!

Most Software roadmaps are already obsolete. Our roadmap now changes almost every week. Frontier upgrades now land every ~2 weeks, and it's not even different labs competing anymore. @Google alone keeps leapfrogging itself. CTOs, CPOs (and yes, I'm calling myself out too): the frontier moves every 14 days. How often do we ship becomes the hard question? If the answer is "monthly," that's not strategy. That's an excuse. When we talk to customers and prospects about their growing interest in Software Factories, two key drivers come up: first, eliminating bottlenecks to ship faster, and second, increasing automated verification. OpenFactoryAI.co
I did say we'd be releasing our models periodically...introducing Gemini 4 Carbon, our next frontier model. Following Argon's release just two weeks ago, Carbon shows the pace at which we’re pushing the frontier, it ranks #1 on the recently updated v5.0 of @ArtificialAnlys Intelligence Index at 59. It also leads across key cybersecurity evaluations scoring 88.2% on SEC-bench Pro for finding vulnerabilities, 54.8% on ExploitGym for exploitation, and 71.0% on CWE-bench for patching. We’re seeing significant improvements in long-horizon tasks even compared to Argon, and we’ve strengthened frontier safeguards. As we did with Argon, we’re going to roll it out gradually + responsibly. Some trusted cyber defenders will get access starting this week. We'll be expanding it to more partners through our Fairwind Program, ahead of wider availability soon, so hang tight!

AI ran on free web text. That's running out by 2026–2032. Then labs started paying for books and news. The next scarce fuel for AI is workflow data: how real work actually gets done. 🧵

So we're buying workflow data. 💰 Coding, healthcare, finance, HR, operations. SOPs, tickets, process logs, agent traces. You own it, we license it, PII stays out. Exclusive deals pay more.

Your SOPs and process history aren't paperwork. They're an asset, and they lose value every month someone else sells first. ⏳ Hot take or obvious? Tell me below. Want to sell yours? Reply and we'll reach out. 🔁 RT to help a founder get paid for their data.

This is nice , wonder what it will evolve into
The Agent SDK is now available. Define agents as code, with prompts in Markdown and tools in TypeScript. Deploy them on our hosted infrastructure, or run them on your own. Built-in evals let you measure every change and make your agents better over time.

AI wrote the code. So who owns the software? Not a trick question. It’s one most teams haven’t answered yet, and it’s coming for all of us. In the latest episode of AI Factory Show, @mtrajan and I dig into the uncomfortable questions every developer and engineering leader is facing right now: - If AI writes 90% of your code, is it still your software? - Can you trust AI to review its own code? - What’s the one part of the job AI still can’t take from developers? - How should teams adapt their workflow without sacrificing quality? Our take: AI can write the code, but intent, judgment, and responsibility still belong to humans. The developers who win won’t be the fastest typists. They’ll be the clearest thinkers. Watch the full conversation here: piped.video/modGT6MGITE So where do you stand? If AI writes the code, who should own it: the developer, the company, or the AI vendor?

As a founder building a bussines in AI. "Cost per dollar earned is the only North Star Metric". Nice share by @chamath
Replying to @socialcapital
In Q1 2025, it spent ~$2.51 on compute and infrastructure for every $1 of revenue. By Q2 2026, that was down to ~$0.48.

San Francisco knew what a Software Factory was. The rest of the world needed @OpenAI to explain it. 😂 When we spoke about Software Factories in SF, nobody asked what OpenFactoryAI was or what a deploy company does. They went straight to: “How can I use this?” Then came the Security incidents and OpenAI's Defense Factory blueprint. Suddenly, people elsewhere started saying, “Ah, NOW we understand what you mean by a Factory!” Funny how an idea becomes obvious once a big name talks about it. What's fascinating is how uneven technology adoption is, even across major US cities. But here's the bigger plot twist. We've decided that OpenFactory will support all our competitors. Yes, ALL of them. We'll help implement any Software Factory. Sounds crazy? Not really. Software is no longer the moat. Engineering outcomes are. And if your competitive advantage is just the factory you built, you might be competing on the wrong thing. You need a security factory to deal with challenges like Black October and first step is to build your own software factory
Just spent the last 7 days on the front lines of the vulnpocalypse fending off an active cyber attack on one of our products. Some thoughts: - Software factories are going to be required equipment for everyone. There’s just no way to keep up with the pace of highly automated adversaries without one. - We were lucky because we had spent the last few months getting our software factory running well. It is nice to have for product development but proved to be absolutely essential this week. - At the minimum you need to have a coding server in the cloud pre-provisioned with read only access to all your logs and all the services you depend on for observability. With that in place you are a prompt away from reasonably good situational awareness, ongoing monitoring with loops, and ability for coding agents to validate fixes against your actual, observed attack patterns. - Shared coding server also unlocks multiplayer incident response where everyone can see every session and jump in as needed. Sharing session links that can be forked is much higher bandwidth than re-explaining things. - You don’t need to be Ramp/Stripe/Uber scale to have a working software factory in the cloud. We are a team of 3. Ours is built with an @opencode server (thanks @thdxr!), a forked version of compound engineering optimized for automated workflows (thanks @kieranklaassen!) and a multiplayer agent in slack that handles crons (we have our own harness but pick your favorite here). - To get our software factory up and running well, we had to stop all new product development for ~6 weeks and just focus on getting the validation systems working that enabled us to reliably shipping PR without human code review. This felt very painful in the moment but was totally worth the eventual speedup in velocity. - KYC for @AnthropicAI & @OpenAI cyber programs is now easy and quick (at least for defensive access), but a day felt like a lifetime this week. Submit your app now before you really need it. - Getting Mythos access unlocked a deeper level of analysis that helped us shift from reactive mitigation to proactive patching. Wish we had done this a few weeks earlier. Get started now!

Your security budget is probably buying the wrong thing. In October alone: 75M+ records leaked. One AI hacking tool hit 2,250+ accounts. Six security crises landed in a single day. Most of it came through doors we already knew about. The one big save wasn't a tool. It was a system.

One may wonder why @OpenAI is investing in Bio and releated industries. AI is good at many things but sucks and synthesis the models are far far away from the capapability today. The access to process, data and metholdogy will create new unlocks in the direction.
We’ve acquired Orchestra Bio, a platform that helps biopharma teams coordinate the complex process of drug development. Together, we’ll build on Rosalind, our AI models and tools for life sciences research, to streamline those operations and help new treatments reach patients sooner.
