This is due diligence. Peters said as much to @JunksRadio. Every team is doing the same.
Some teams still have three games before the deadline.
The Philly game feels like a possible tipping point for the Commanders if they're inclined to move vets or draft picks.

Bub Carrington wanted to see if Anthony Davis still had another gear. So did many around the NBA.
They got their answer.
The 10-time All-Star delivered a vintage performance: 34 points, a comeback win and a reason to believe in Washington.

One more Anthony Davis stat.
His 34 points tied Antawn Jamison (2004 for the most in their first game with the team.
Not too shabby.
Anthony Davis is the first Wizard to record 30+ points and 10+ rebounds in his Washington debut, per Wizards PR/ @Sportradar.

Between Jayden Daniels and Anthony Davis, that's a lot of worrying about whether the guy gets up after a fall. #KnockOnWood

Pre-game reading.
Don't freak out. It's positive.
Anthony Davis wants out of Washington. The relationship is destined to implode.
That's the prevailing NBA narrative.
Except sources on both sides tell me there are no issues. Davis isn't interested in correcting the speculation, either.

The irony of bringing in a seasoned consultant to help is that, to me, this is what needed to happen on offense from the jump.
David Blough is a 3rd-year coach whose top role was AQB coach.
Jones has been around the block and was a DC at LSU. He also has a defensive-minded HC.
But, more eyes on the situation can't hurt.
