🌈 Birmingham Pride 2026 – Event Update 🌈 Despite our very best efforts — including numerous conversations and an open letter supported by Birmingham Pride, Southside BID, the LGBTQ+ businesses in Birmingham and additional support from the potential developers  — we have been unable to secure the use of the vacant land directly adjacent to the Fox Bar on Lower Essex Street for this year’s event. While this is not the outcome we had hoped for, Birmingham Pride has always been built on resilience, collaboration and community spirit — and we are delighted to share some very positive news. Thanks to the support of Birmingham City Council and Lendlease, we are excited to confirm that we have secured a section of the Smithfield site for this year. Returning to Smithfield allows us to deliver the exciting elements that help to make Birmingham Pride such a special and vibrant celebration, including: •     🎤 Main Stage •     🎭  Cabaret Marquee •     🎡  Fun Fair •     🛍️ Market stalls •     🍔 Food court The Dance Arena will remain in the Gay Village, alongside our LGBTQ+ bars and clubs, entertainment stages and the much-loved street party atmosphere. Importantly, all tickets purchased will provide access to both Smithfield and the Gay Village Street Party, giving you the very best of both spaces in one Pride experience. Birmingham Pride returns on Friday 22nd May for the BIG FREE COMMUNITY Event on the Main Stage. Our iconic Pride Parade will take place on Sat 23rd May, returning, this year to Victoria Square from 11am. We are incredibly grateful to our partners, stakeholders, the wider community and particularly our local LGBTQ+ venues that have helped our efforts throughout and for their continued support. Birmingham Pride remains committed to delivering a safe, inclusive and unforgettable celebration for everyone. We can’t wait to welcome you back to Birmingham Pride 2026. 🌈✨ Get your tickets NOW: birminghampride.com
