You can't blame Goldbridge for selling out and going mainstream. If you were in his shoes, you would do the same. He's secured his family's future and fair play to him.
I like some of the overlap content, but it's becoming so saturated and nothing like fan media. I remember debating Neville all those years ago about fan media, and he couldn't understand it. Now he wants to buy into it and replicate it because he knows it's more authentic than mainstream media.
The only issue with fan media now is that there are too many people desperate for fame, so they fake their reactions and try to be controversial for views.
This is why what we did on AFTV won't be replicated, because despite what you thought of some of us, the reactions were genuine. Me, Claude, Ty, etc. It's all from the heart. It's passion, it's authentic, and it won't ever be matched or beaten.
I've had my debates and fall-outs over the years with Goldbridge, but I wish him nothing but good luck because, unlike plenty of others, he didn't stick the boot in when I was at the lowest point of my life.
My only advice to anyone starting out or already in this industry is just to be yourself. Don't try too hard to be something you are not. And don't trust anyone else. All these YouTubers who wish you luck are the same ones who are praying for your downfall.
