While Nike’s stock sinks amid several quarters of disappointment, Reebok appears to be undergoing a revival of sorts. “We do a wonderful job of content. We’re very careful of the players we select. One of our first selections was [WNBA star] @Reese10Angel … Her shoe has just been sold out,” NBA legend @SHAQ told me at the Milken Institute conference this week. The former Laker is now Reebok’s president of basketball and the second-largest individual shareholder in its parent company, Authentic Brands Group. “We just do things that are very, very strategic,” he added. “You know, for me it’s trying to reintroduce Reebok to the kids … We’ve doubled in business [just like Authentic Brands Group CEO Jamie Salter has said] and we plan on continuing to grow.”

"A big difference with Optimus versus the cars is we don't have this vast fleet of cars from which we can gather training data. With Optimus, we have to bootstrap it by making the robots and having them do self-play, which is really how a human learns to navigate the world. You can see this when you have a toddler, and they grow up, and initially, they're sort of wobbly, and they don't know how to do things. Eventually they learn to wipe their own ass, which is a big milestone. As anyone who's had kids knows." -@elonmusk

RBC on potential SpaceX/Tesla merger: "We think a deal could require SPCX to pay a meaningful premium for TSLA shares given Musk controls only ~20% of Tesla's voting power versus ~82% at SpaceX, creating an asymmetric governance dynamic that could require adequate compensation for Tesla shareholders. In our framework, we believe TSLA holders would be receptive at $480/share, reflecting our SOTP intrinsic value plus a ~15% premium, which at current prices would imply an approximately 50/50 ownership split of the combined entity. That said, we think the deal math is more nuanced from SPCX's perspective. Given that SpaceX represents ~70% of our combined pro forma valuation, SPCX shareholders could contribute the majority of the value while owning less than half of the combined company at a $480/share purchase price — a dynamic that could face pushback. There are, however, meaningful merits to a combination. Terafab is perhaps the most compelling near-term catalyst, as a joint chip manufacturing facility could eliminate costly R&D duplication across two of the most compute-intensive companies in the world and unlock well over $1T in long-term cost savings versus sourcing chips externally, based on our estimates."

Cathie Wood's Ark on potential Tesla/SpaceX merger: "While our model assesses Tesla as a standalone business, a SpaceX-Tesla merger could take place within the next five years. Tesla’s highly cash-generative robotaxi network could help fund SpaceX’s ambitious plans for orbital data centers, and at the same time SpaceX’s compute-intensive frontier AI models could serve as the planning layer for Optimus deployments. Working together on the Terafab project, both companies could alleviate chip constraints. Combined, we estimate that SpaceX and Tesla could generate $3.8 trillion in revenue and $2.7 trillion in EBIT by 2031, with SpaceX contributing roughly 62% and 69%, respectively." 🚀
