Finished with a NO- HITTER for the Bulldogs. Won the game 12-0 in 4 innings: 6 strikeouts, 0 runs allowed. Big thanks to my teammates for making the plays behind me! @PrepBaseballMN @PineTarAcademy @BrowerBaseball @OLPost172Ball

During his nine-year major league career, Minnetonka graduate Jim Brower only played at the Metrodome once, allowing one run in 4 ⅓ innings of relief to take the loss for the Reds on this date in 2001. @BigLeagueSwings went 2-for-2 off Brower and scored the game-winning run in the bottom of the eighth. @LaTroyHawkins32 locked down the save for a 7-6 Twins win. Brower struck out @ToriiHunter48 twice. At age 53, Brower currently pitches for the Tonka Bay Lakers in the 35-and-over Federal League and operates @BrowerBaseball facilities in Eden Prairie and Plymouth, which I highly recommend.

From Setback to Comeback: Jack Butterworth’s Road Back Stronger⚾ @jbutterworth_12 When you're a young pitcher with big dreams — like Jack Butterworth from Minnesota — a Tommy John injury can feel like the end of the road. But Jack turned that challenge into fuel. After undergoing full UCL reconstruction, this up-and-coming right-hander is back on the mound, throwing again and chasing his Arizona State and pro dreams with even more fire. His perseverance shows what real grit looks like: early mornings in rehab, trusting the process, and never losing sight of the goal. To every young athlete facing a Tommy John injury or any major setback: This is your reminder — the comeback is always greater than the setback. Stay patient. Stay consistent. Surround yourself with great people. Your arm (and your future) can come back stronger than ever. Jack is living proof. 💪 Big things ahead for this Minnesota arm. Freshmen Ari Miller has been a big add to the Hornet staff. He’s 4-0 with a 1.74 ERA in 19 innings across 4 starts. The #PBJFG25 alum threw 6 innings of 2 run ball to pick up his 4th win of the season vs EP. Fastball was 82-84 with a slower breaking ball (66-67) that avoided barrels. Minnesota native Jim Brower gave up Barry Bonds' 503rd career home run on this date in 2001. This was the year Bonds hit 73. @BrowerBaseball still earned the win for Cincinnati, giving him two wins (both as the starter) and a save in his first three appearances of the season. Brower and Bonds were later teammates in San Francisco. Brower led the majors with 89 appearances for the Giants in 2004.
