More interesting than the triple screens is the unfamiliar alignment - clustering two players behind the ball-screen with the corner man lifted way above the FT line. Raises the low-man away from the rim and creates an unimpeded roll.

There is more that could be done to leverage the non-threat of Ausar as a non-shooter.

Seeing a lot on the timeline about wheel action/slide cuts again, so thought I would re-share my work from last season on the unique coverage the Pacers came up with to thwart that action
In multiple games against multiple teams, the Pacers have put the clamps on one of the NBA's biggest trends: slide cuts On their unique coverage, zoning up w/ the low man on the full side, & how even w/ a 6-18 record they're still finding a way to find a different way link in🧵

This opens up so much for you in life, man. Even beyond work. Staying curious will keep you open to new experiences and new perspectives. The narrower your curiosity = the narrower your understanding

Andrew Nembhard has mastered the art of stealing the opening tip to such an extent that teams started game-planning for his gamesmanship in the playoffs. Allow me to explain. Link in 🧵

Caitlin is *so* good at this
How to play with pace with a non-shooting big trailing: Flare the top defender loading up toward the ball & make it difficult for the defenders behind the flare to stunt at the shooter w/o opening up a corner 3PA. Also, jumbo lineup of Siakam-Obi-Zu creates mismatch for Siakam.

Consider these very Pacers-like rankings for the Pacers during preseason: fastest average time to first action: 1st shortest average touch length: 1st passes per 100 possessions: 1st They are still playing *fast* - their way - with Zu
