What were the most important SCLC developments at #WCLC 2026?
@TejasPatilMD, of @CUCancerCenter, highlights three areas:
🔹 MAVERICK: MRI surveillance may be ready to replace routine prophylactic cranial irradiation for many patients with SCLC, given the lack of a clear survival or cognitive failure-free survival advantage with PCI in the modern imaging era.
🔹 B7-H3 ADCs: Phase 3 data suggest these agents could challenge topotecan’s long-standing role in relapsed SCLC and provide a more effective cytotoxic treatment strategy.
🔹 LB2102: Early phase 1 data for this DLL3-targeted CAR T-cell therapy point to a potential relationship between pre-infusion lymphocyte counts, IL-15 levels, and response, although the findings remain exploratory.
Dr. Patil’s perspective offers a concise look at the SCLC studies most likely to influence practice and shape the next generation of treatment strategies.
