🌎 Day 3 of the
#ResilientCaliforniaSummit is underway!
After three days of conversations, collaboration, and shared insights, we’re exploring how California can turn climate research into meaningful action.
📊 During today’s breakout session, “Participatory Research to Policy: California’s Climate Change Assessment,” participants explored the importance of community-driven research, regional perspectives, and inclusive approaches to climate resilience.
From Tribal-led climate solutions and addressing gaps in regional climate data to community-based environmental monitoring, the discussion highlighted the importance of incorporating local knowledge and lived experiences into climate research and policy.
🤝 Across the Summit, LCI Director Samuel Assefa, researchers, Tribal leaders, policymakers, and community partners are helping advance conversations about climate justice, equity, and building a more resilient California for all.
