Our Armed Forces personnel give so much in service to our country. When they leave service, accessing support should be simple. That's why I was pleased to highlight investment in new VALOUR veteran support centres yesterday, with more locations to be announced soon. 👇

This is vital diplomacy - @wesstreeting highlighting the strength the UK & US share through our alliance. So important to set out to our allies how critical Ukraine’s fight is to our shared security, we must deepen our support as they endure further brutal Russian attacks. 👇
Lots to discuss in Washington DC about how we are working together to strengthen defence and deterrence around the world. Look forward to talking with @SecWar Pete Hegseth about our defence partnership - the closest of any two nations - that helps to make us all safer.

Next year will mark 45 years since British forces liberated the Falkland Islands. For some of those veterans who fought in that conflict, this may be one of the last major anniversaries they see. We have confirmed that commemorations will take place on the islands to mark the anniversary, honouring those who paid the ultimate price for the freedom of the Falkland Islanders.

Great to visit Connaught School last month for an assembly and Q&A with the whole school – covered my career, the move into politics, and ended up in a good debate on social media. 🏫 Also caught up with head teacher Alex Silk afterwards. Thanks for having me! 🙏

Great to see @SadiqKhan championing international services via Stratford. This would be hugely welcome for Leyton and Wanstead. I've been pushing for this over the last two years through discussions with rail operators and public bodies on expanding Leyton Temple Mills depot.
Stratford is one of Europe’s great regeneration success stories. It’s ready for its next chapter - European rail links. City Hall is working with the government to deliver new cross-Channel trains from East London. The benefits would be felt far beyond our city ⬇️
