C&C Generals & Zero Hour rebuilt by GZH Neo from EA’s GPL source. C++20, x64, Direct3D 11 & Vulkan, multicore, real-time shadows, textures, HDR, a new AI, folder-based mods. Ray tracing planned. Requires the original game. Project is not official yet.
The Witcher 3 CPU perf analysis 📊
▶️ Path Tracing vs Ray Tracing vs Rasterization
▶️ PCGH CPU scene + settings
▶️ CapFrameX + PMC + ETW
With PT the render thread spends ~30 % of each frame waiting on a job group handled by just 2 worker threads. CPU counters show no mem limit.
¡Hola! 🇪🇸
CapFrameX 1.9.2 Beta adds Spanish, German and Russian translations!
Here’s a look at the Spanish interface 👇
Thanks to everyone contributing translations and helping make CapFrameX accessible to more users! 🌍

🚨 Seeing erratic FPS or frametime gaps in CapFrameX after ~20–30 min of play? 🚨
We're looking into a potential PresentMon issue with PC latency tracking. Until then: disable "Use PC Latency" in the settings and click "Reset and rescan processes" or restart CapFrameX.
Some users reported chart pausing issues with the hook-free overlay in v1.9.0.
The issue has been fixed. An update to v1.9.1 will hopefully be available soon.
CapFrameX speaks MCP now. 💻
Point Claude or any MCP client at CapFrameX and just ask: start a capture, find the stutters, compare two runs, correlate frame times with GPU sensors.
45 tools available.

The new CapFrameX infrastructure: ~1,000 unit and integration tests.
This also lays the foundation for v2.0.0. CapFrameX won't be just a tool anymore, but a benchmarking platform with services, databases, and AI interfaces.
If you're seeing irregular frame time spikes when capturing above ~1300–1500 FPS, increase the PresentMon event buffer to 8192. No restart needed.

CapFrameX v1.9.0 release now available with the Info tab. The most important hardware information at a glance. 🔥

FSR 4 FG frame pacing (MsBetweenDisplayChange) issues, even with V-Sync forced via the driver.
This happens when the actual frame rate falls below the monitor's refresh rate.
Regarding @HardwareUnboxed latest video on FG frame pacing, i did some videos before on this with camera testing as well.
Enable V-sync in the drivers, ans frame pacing gets good with FG feeling great.
Quick call for support: we are looking for a sponsor for a code signing certificate. It would allow us to sign the entire app including installer and binaries, giving users more trust and reducing false antivirus detection.

Sorry, CapFrameX v1.9.0 has been delayed by a couple of days. The hook-free overlay had some positioning issues, and XeSS-FG is particularly challenging to hook.
As compensation, I implemented this nice-looking new hardware info tab today. 😎
