This tool is specifically for BS Pressure w/ a BS Nose (Low Tech) vs Power. The moment the Center recognizes the BS pressure, he rips a Tango call! The PS GAPS DOWN. The F kicks out the DE. The PSG must trust that the BS Nose is coming to him. If they don’t cooperate, run through someone’s face! Centers, you can’t miss these calls, but you also can’t be wrong. Film Study, Safety Rotation, etc…What are your Pressure Keys?! If you don’t know that answer, spend more time on @CenterSundays‼️ 🤓📚

As soon as #1 hits it, #2 is dead ☠️😵🪦 to the OL! If the MLB, WLB, & NS ALL pressure here, the QB is HOT 🔥🔥🔥 off the NS‼️

The most important teaching point about Roger Read / Louie Read is you must read it INSIDE-OUT, #1 to #2. IF #1 Pressures, #2 becomes dead to the OL - - - #2 is now the HB or QB’s responsibility, depending. IF #1 DOES NOT Pressure, #2 becomes the OL’s responsibility. Make sense? 🤓📚

Learning Proper Posture & how to Strike Properly are foundational to my blocking progression. Caleb was a beginner, everything about blocking & striking were new to him. I love this rep, he’s executing Great Posture, 1st Step Flat, 2nd Step Up the Field // 2nd Step on Contact. You can see he’s Striking & Grabbing & immediately getting Sticky! From here, we progress to a 3 point stance. After that, Angle Rt / Angle Lt. The one major correction here would be EYES UP! SEE your target through the strike - EYES UP at ALL TIMES. Head-Ducking is the most dangerous play in football! 🫡👁️🆙

If they don’t bump, straighten up. Understand who you have on bump vs no bump. No perfect answer, whatever your plan is, rep it & stick with it! Adjust as you go! 🤓📚

Circa 2021. Angle Rt / Angle Lt. 1st Step Sets “Angle of Departure.” 2nd Step Up the Field = Seatbelt vs Pirates. Win Your Target & Get Back to Square. 🫡🏴‍☠️

Setting Angles is not as simple as just “Run off the Ball.” 1st Step needs Depth & Width. The width is extremely important because you must gain lateral ground on your target. If you only get depth, you’ve not gotten any closer to your target. Your target is moving at the snap, if you go nowhere, then you’re already a step behind. A play is 4-6 seconds. Eliminate wasted movements, become as efficient as possible. When I set angles, my first step should put my belly button in-line w/ my target. It must be pointed directly at it. 2nd Step Up the Field = Seatbelt vs Pirates. Pirates are DL stunts, crossing face, pinching gaps, movement. Here, his 2nd step is traveling a little far, but not bad. You’d like to see the 2nd step, step on the DL’s near toes. If your 2nd step goes lateral, you will get ejected, whiff, TFL, vs Pirates. PUT YOUR SEATBELT ON! 🤓📚

I always follow the same progression. 1. Football Position / Posture. 2. Stance. 3 Point. 2 Point. 3. Proper Strike // 2nd Step on Contact. 4. Get Sticky. Take the Air Out between His Hips & Yours. 5. Base Block. 6. Angle Rt / Angle Lt. 7. Gap / Crowther Combos. 8. ETC…. Show the whole, then work the pieces.
