Browns C Elgton Jenkins is one of the most versatile OL of his generation. I talked with Elgton about versatility, selflessness and what playing all FIVE positions taught him. Whenever he’s done playing, the Browns need to find a way to keep him around⬇️ lecharlesbentley.substack.co…

I agree with the 49ers philosophy on drafting OL. IF you have what the 49ers have, then it’s an approach that makes sense. Colton Mckivitz is an example of how their philosophy pays off, and why simply copying it won’t work.⬇️ lecharlesbentley.substack.co… @Graham_SFN

Center of the Week | Bruce Mitchell @BYUfootball A real-deal Center who’s still learning how to play the position after making the move from defense & is quickly establishing himself as one of the best Centers in the country. The #1 trait he brings to the table is FIGHT.

Center Moment | Backside Hand What’s the most important hand on a reach block? The backside hand. Why? PRESSURE. What does pressure create? Pressure = CONTROL. #CenteredOnExcellence

In this edition of “The Exchange with LeCharles Bentley,” @64AMDG the 2001 Rimington 🏆 winner talks with @oregonfootball center Iapani “Poncho” Laloulu about what it takes to get better in the trenches. @Poncho2fly #Poncho shares lessons from his offseason work with, “Uncle Dom,” the inaugural Rimington 🏆 winner: Dominic Raiola @DOMINICRAIOLA 🏈 Keep your feet moving through the block 🏈 Play with leverage and technique 🏈 Keep your hands inside with your elbows tight 🏈 Don’t stop on contact - drive through the block 🏈 Finish by moving the defender from Point A to Point B The difference is often found in the details, and for a center, those details can create opportunities for the backs behind you. In special collaboration with @Center_Summit . #RimingtonTrophy #OLine #CollegeFootball #iapanilaloulu

With Elgton Jenkins out, Luke Wypler will have his hands full with Keeanu Benton (#95). But Cleveland must run the football. Pittsburgh can be undisciplined with its gap integrity. Something will eventually break. Full breakdown ⬇️ lecharlesbentley.substack.co… 🦴

Zach Frazier versus Dexter Lawrence recap #Steelers #NFL

Pic goes quite hard 🥶

Bengals fans will likely say this single reach by Zach Frazier was A.I. 😢 “Head across” isn’t a sound coaching point, especially at Center. Hat placement has to be earned. Lead with FORCE - Insert the backside hand. EARN the outside leverage. #ForceFirst

OL need to be ready to play all 5 positions at all times

Zach Frazier showed why he needs to be in the NFL Protector of the Year conversation. He may not have the accolades… but he’s REAL.

Versatility gets u on the field, 5 chances to play is better than 1.

A clinical game by Zach Frazier against Dexter Lawrence. 📽️📽️

Developing your players as offensive linemen before allowing them to settle into specific positions will always benefit them. “Don’t gotta get ready if you stay ready.”

Transferable skills taught in HS not only help with the inevitable mid season shakeups, but also help when kids go to the next level!

Good.

Center of the Week | @RacinDelgatty Block of the Week last week. Center of the Week this week. Racin didn’t start the season on the @rimingtontrophy watch list, but he’s playing his way into the conversation. Great coaching paired with the right student… 📈.

This will be a great game for young Centers to watch. Lawrence is a great player. But it doesn’t matter who you are, THERE’S SOMEBODY FOR EVERYBODY. Zach Frazier could be that matchup for Dexter because Frazier will fight you back. And against certain guys, that’s all it takes.

Servant Leadership.
