Here’s a technical explanation of what the current Switch 2 allows and doesn’t allow TL;DR: It will allow dumping and modding current games. This will potentially enable people to start reverse engineering Switch 2 games and firmware to work on PC recomps / ports. However unless a kernel exploit is found future games will be sparred as they will require firmware updates.

People seem to be confused about this. I meant that there’s an exploit based on a physical game cartridge. So you don’t have to update the firmware to use the eShop.
