When I was still coaching HS ball, we had a kid that quit in January and came into our team huddle after our scrimmage publicly asking to come back…we did not allow it bc the team culture had already been established and built through a tough offseason that he wasn’t a part of. He would have started for us but it wasn’t fair to the team or the guy whose spot he would have taken…I can’t fathom considering letting a kid join your college team right now after zero dues were paid. Blows my mind that this is even a conversation. Also, season has already started! 😂
