It's a long season, every game can't be game 7, because you find yourself living in yesterday's game too often. Develop thick skin. 𐂫 You’re never as good, or as bad, as people say you are. But you need to be good mentally to be available for those you lead. Emotional stability is part of leadership. Maybe the biggest part.

Arizona State Football Coach Kenny Dillingham on leadership systems and COMPLETE accountability: 🛗 Accountability scales upward. Players and staff execute the role, but you define the role. When something breaks, the first question of leadership isn’t “Who messed up?”, it’s “What did I allow, teach, or tolerate that made this outcome likely?” 🔢 Every decision to hire, trust, delegate, or oversee becomes part of the final score. Own the inputs, and in turn you Influence the outcomes. 🍯 If it’s on YOUR team, it’s on YOU. That's leadership. You chose the people, you set the standard, you shaped the environment. Mistakes are feedback for your leadership system, not just their individual performance. The moment you blame down the chain⛓️, you lose the leverage to fix the system that produced the error.
