Good morning, I pray for others before I pray for myself and this scripture is to encourage us all to intercede for one another. I have a friend who’s a believer and her oldest son is facing serious prison time. So, I’m praying along with her that God will is done and that God will allow me to intercede for their family as extra strength. Which reminds me of a conversation I had with my best friend Anterrious yesterday about life and how some of the things we’ve experienced we never thought we would but thank God for prayer. Especially the prayer warriors in our families. We spoke about the time an older black guy who looked like he did 25 years in prison and this Mexican guy who also looked like he did 25 years in prison. The Mexican guy had on cowboy hat and looked like looked like he played in the movie desperado. They were together in a Ram truck and chased me around my neighborhood for ten to fifteen minutes trying to shoot me. Ten minutes isn’t long but it felt like 10 hours. The interesting part is no police could be found or anyone outside I knew. I turned to go on my grandmother street but they tried to run me off the road which actually saved me because I slammed on the brakes and they lost control. As they hit reverse I drove on a side street and headed for my best friend house but had no idea if he was home. I drove through his front yard into the back of his yard and hop out my vehicle beating on his door like the police. He lets me in wondering why I’m panicking. The two men couldn’t find me so they drove by my cousin Travis house. Travis was outside as they slowly rode by. They rolled down their windows, said “catch this” and tossed a few bullets out the window. After doing this the black guy says to my cousin “tell your homeboy he won’t catch the next ones”. What’s also interesting is I never saw those two guys again. I know sometimes you probably read my testimonies in shock. My mom probably does as well. I know my wife, my biological father, my daughter, some of my friends and even the ones I was in the streets with because I’ve done different things in the streets with different friends. Some things I tell as testimonies and a couple things I’m taking to my grave and I constantly repent to God about those things. The point of this is thank God for allowing others to intercede on my behalf. I knew God but wasn’t praying or acknowledging God. However, it’s moments like this that I experienced without being dead or in prison that lets me know someone was praying for me. So, if you know someone who’s going through a difficult time one of the best ways to help is to intercede for them through prayer. Seeking the one who has all power in the palm of his hands. 1TIMOTHY2:1-4
