POTENTIAL: This is where MANY coaches fall prey: The allure of the "PROMSING CAN'T MISS PROSPECT" makes many coaches skip right past steps 1-3 and go straight for the transfer with potential. The elite (like the ones below) ARE FEW & FAR BETWEEN... #WinFOREVER #DROPSAREASIN

PRODUCTION!!!- exhibit C- THIRD BEST Option If the FIRST TWO options aren't working, go for this! Players who have may not have generated high production, but have either have played in games/logged snaps over time. #WinFOREVER #DROPSAREASIN

PRODUCTION!!- exhibit B- Next BEST Option If you can't obtain an All-American/All-Conference player, then one w/ the production of that is just as nice! Again, these players have HIGH levels of snaps, games played, & production based performance. #WinFOREVER #DROPSAREASIN

Day 22 of 28: Today, our Association celebrates Head Coach Charles Smith, a leader who has dedicated his life to developing young men on and off the court. Coach Smith is a legendary Louisiana high school basketball coach, best known for leading Peabody Magnet High School to Over 1,200 wins (1,208-214) and 10+ state championships. From building competitive programs to mentoring student-athletes beyond basketball, Coach Smith represents what leadership truly looks like: discipline, accountability, and pouring into the next generation. Black coaches don’t just coach the game, they shape culture. They build character. They change lives. Thank you, Coach Smith, for your commitment to excellence and community impact. #BlackHistoryMonth #BCAWORLD #BCAHONORS

Day 21 of 28: Today, our Association proudly honors Cito Gaston — a trailblazer, champion, and leader whose impact on the game of baseball changed history. His leadership wasn’t loud- it was steady, confident, and rooted in trust. He showed the world that: ✔️ Leadership comes in many styles ✔️ Excellence speaks for itself ✔️ Representation matters at the highest level Cito Gaston didn’t just win titles — he opened doors. His success helped expand opportunities for future Black leaders in professional sports. At BCA, we celebrate pioneers who didn’t just coach the game… they changed it.
