For we walk by faith, not by sight. -2 Corinthians 5:7 I’ve lost count of how many times God has spoken to me through license plates. It sounds strange, I know, but it’s been one of the clearest ways He’s confirmed direction in my life. I’ve prayed for specific things, asked Him to put certain words or letters on a plate, and then watched it happen sometimes within hours. Those confirmations led me from Michigan to Tennessee, and then from Tennessee to Texas. This morning I was praying about an opportunity in front of me when a car drove by with a plate that answered the exact thing I’d just been talking to God about. It felt like Gideon laying out the fleece, or Moses turning aside to see the burning bush. Different method, same God who still speaks. Who are we to limit how He communicates? Sometimes He uses a still small voice. Sometimes He uses a piece of metal on the back of a car. Either way, I’m learning to keep walking by faith, not by sight.

When ESPN College GameDay came to the campus of Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, to broadcast all morning before the BYU vs. Notre Dame football game on Saturday, Oct. 17, viewers learned about much more than football.
