There’s a fine line between confidence and stubbornness in football. Then there’s another fine line between stubbornness and stupidity.

PHD in ball coaching!
🚨🚨MUST WATCH🚨🚨
#Titans head coach Robert Saleh gave one of the most INCREDIBLE explanations of defensive football youever hear during a press conference.
For nearly 7 minutes, Saleh broke down his defensive philosophy, why his system is so difficult to master, and how it produces ELITE defenses.
He discussed learning from Pete Carroll, Vic Fangio, and Monte Kiffin, while explaining why understanding an offense is more important than simply knowing your assignment.
Robert Saleh is one of the BRIGHTEST defensive minds in football.
This is a MASTERCLASS in coaching.

Defensive malpractice right here.
No QB player, No rush games vs Vacant on a 2 pt play.
First things first, don't let mobile QB walk into the End Zone untouched.
Bracket 3 man side, keep boundary LB in box for QB.

Get out of the stack!
When coaching the DL in practice, I recommend you stand behind the QB. You can be loud and tell them to stay of the QB. But, more importantly, you can yell at them to get to the ball and chase after them to make sure they do it. You get what you emphasize. It'll show up in games.

Talent gets you there.
Process keeps you there.
Nick Saban said it best:
“You must focus on the things that have made us good all season long.”
Championship teams don't chase the moment.
They live the process.

Front the QB!
Face rpo
Back fit
Defending 10p Pistol Spread offenses comes down to controlling the B-gaps without tipping your hand.
Pistol removes the pre-snap "sidecar" tell, challenging standard four-down alignments to adjust, especially in even 2x2 sets.
Instead of living in static Tite fronts, a defense can match that balance with an even four-down look paired with odd-spacing reductions to close the open B-gap bubble.
By lagging the interior and letting the Edges surf the heel line, a defense can cancel the interior zone tracks and remove the quarterback's post-snap read.
My full explanation on fit mechanics, front checks, and reduction rules is only on MatchQuarters:

Western Michigan got robbed no doubt.
I don't like this defensive call.
I would rather rush 3 and flush QB to the dpy or have 2 extra jumpers.
LB sitting at 5 yards was a wasted body.
MICHIGAN DOES THE UNBELIEVABLE ON THE FINAL PLAY OF THE GAME 😱
THEY PUT ONE SECOND BACK ON THE CLOCK AND MICHIGAN CAPITALIZES TO WIN IT!
