I was incredibly lucky to have a beer with Alan once at the hotel Bar in Melbourne while working on the F1 coverage. It was utterly brilliant and everything you'd hope a beer with the 1980 champ would be. Stories, laughs, the works. One of the great hours of my fortunate life.

On this day in '11 @addison_djra played with the remote in the Surfers comms box (one missing a view of track) and tuned it to blue - mere moments before a session began. What followed was masterclass in blind commentary by both he and @WadeAunger. They nailed it, obvs. Memories.
