We mark with profound sadness the passing of Sir Patrick Stewart, who left us on October 28, 2026.
For 55 years, Creation has had the privilege of sharing stages, autograph lines, and countless memories with the stars of the genre worlds we all love. Among them, Sir Patrick stood as one of the most gracious, thoughtful, and enduring. From the earliest days of Star Trek: The Next Generation conventions through the years that followed, he brought the same dignity, humor, and quiet command to our events that he brought to the bridge of the Enterprise and the halls of Xavier’s School.
Fans who met him at Creation gatherings will remember a gentleman who listened as carefully as he spoke, who answered questions with care and wit, and who treated every person in the room—whether longtime devotee or first-time convention-goer—with respect. He never simply “appeared.” He engaged. He made the experience feel personal. That quality, more than any single role, is what so many of us will miss most.
We realize that, for many of our attendees, Captain Picard was their first captain, their bridge into Star Trek. He was and is their guiding light on how to be the best possible human. To those of you who quote him daily, look to him for answers, or watch TNG episodes for comfort, we send our sincerest condolences. He will be so sorely missed by our Creation family as well and we share in your loss.
To his wife Sunny, his children, and all who loved him, we offer our deepest sympathy.
Thank you, Captain. Rest well.
