People keep posting the snippet from DPRK but yall missing the beauty of the full statement. 😄 Pyongyang, November 3 (KCNA) -- Kim Yo Jong, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, released the following press statement on November 2: Recently, the cryptocurrency worth billions of U.S. dollars was stolen at the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange "Binance". As regards this extra-large incident, the U.S. has made a trite provocation of linking it with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea again. The FBI is trying to brand the DPRK as a "cyber criminal state", claiming that it obtained information that a hacking organization "supported" by the DPRK was involved in the incident. But the U.S. assertion is an absurd rhetoric and nothing new. This is not the first time that the U.S. has attempted to spread misunderstanding of the DPRK in the international community, blindly linking the DPRK with the "cyber crime" incidents whenever they occur on an international scale. Last year, the U.S. also tried to blame the DPRK for the hacking incident at the cryptocurrency exchange called "Bybit". It is a grave political provocation against the DPRK that the U.S. misleads the international public opinion as if all the cyber crimes in different parts of the world are our deeds. This is a sinister attempt to damage the international image of the DPRK and undermine its dignity and national prestige and another grave violation of the sovereignty of the DPRK in the new sphere. It is the consistent policy stand of the DPRK government to resolutely oppose all sorts of malicious acts in cyberspace, the wealth common to the mankind, and resolutely reject any attempt to politicize the cyber issue and use it as a means of interfering in the internal affairs with other countries. The international community needs to recall once again the fact that as soon as the present U.S. administration took office last year, it announced that it would confiscate illegally stolen cryptocurrency assets and use them as a state's strategic reserve. If it carefully examines who will get the large amount of the so-called stolen cryptocurrency when the latter is retrieved, it may get a clue about who is behind the hacking incident. On this occasion, we confirmed Washington's hostile attitude toward the DPRK once again and are closely monitoring a variety of persistent provocations of the U.S. against our state. We have issues to reconsider in diverse aspects as regards the very unpleasant U.S. hostile attitude. -0-

Update on my part: Our public servers were not attacked (on 2.4.7), it seems reports are on before 2.4.2. The attacker managed to log in as admin on those instance, we are still trying to figure out how.
🚨 We are receiving reports of hot wallets on BTCPay Servers being swept by unauthorized attackers. If you're running an instance, please shut it down (./btcpay-down.sh) until we complete the investigation.

Laughs in North Korean. Those funds are going directly to funding its drone & military programs
The FBI is releasing information advising the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (North Korea) was responsible for the theft of more than $6 billion USD in virtual assets from cryptocurrency exchange, Binance, on or about October 29, 2026. The FBI refers to this specific North Korean malicious cyber activity as "TraderTraitor." The FBI, together with partners at the USSS and IRS-CI, has observed TraderTraitor actors converting stolen assets primarily into Ethereum (ETH). It is expected these assets will then be further laundered by converting them using DeFi and instant swap services as they prepare them for further laundering stages. How You Can Help: FBI, USSS, and IRS-CI are urging private sector entities including THORNode operators, RPC node operators, instant exchanges, DeFi services, blockchain analytics firms, and other virtual asset service providers to block transactions with or derived from addresses TraderTraitor actors are using to launder these stolen assets. A list of addresses associated with this activity is available here: fbi.gov/investigate/cyber/al…

So @THORChain can emergency pause over 10 Ethereum but not when tradeTraitor sends billions through it?
THORChain just inadvertently delayed the laundering of a significant amount of funds stolen from Binance. The reason? An Ethereum reorg. One happened this morning and caused THORChain to incorrectly issue a double refund to someone who had deposited 10 ETH. This triggered an “emergency pause” on THORChain, preventing all users, including DPRK’s money launderers, from using cross-chain swaps. Until the service comes back online, neither the hackers nor anyone else can swap through a majority of THORChain’s bridges.

Relay's compliance and team are so bad that DPRK manage to bridged $38M (still bridging) in just 7 hours through the @RelayProtocol Bridge, and they couldn't stop it despite claiming to have an active KYT system. DPRK couldn't laundered that amount within such a short timeframe through THORChain, but Relay opened the door. so bad for you guys.... Address: TNhpfKq83wufEKGjBhQFnT7jnxYmyBzH6F Stay Relay.
