Project486 is officially advancing research on Grokene, our AI discovered room-temperature, ambient-pressure superconducting candidate.
Grokene is a graphene based 2D superlattice designed and evaluated through computational physics. Our current research explores its electronic structure, phonon behavior, electron phonon coupling, superconducting gap, structural stability, and potential pathways toward higher-temperature superconductivity.
Theoretical calculations indicate an exceptionally strong electron–phonon interaction and a mean-field superconducting scale reaching approximately 310 K under the studied model. However, Grokene remains a theoretical candidate not a confirmed room-temperature superconductor. Experimental synthesis, transport measurements, Meissner-effect observation, and independent reproduction will ultimately determine its physical validity.
Project486’s autonomous scientific agents are now continuously researching and evaluating Grokene, with the goal of refining the material into conditions suitable for real world experimental validation by universities and research institutions.
