My great great grandparents were murdered in Auschwitz. My great grandmother lived under the Nuremberg laws. My grandmother survived Bergen Belsen. Jews, despite the anguish, never forget: we will survive this too. But the trauma is imprinted on our genes.

It’s funny how “vote against your interests” wasn’t a winning strategy
My latest @WSJFreeEx: A majority of American Jews will vote for Democrats next month. But data suggest, particularly when compared with demographically similar groups, the Democratic Party can no longer rely on automatic Jewish support. The party has only itself to blame.

Communism is incredibly bad for business
BREAKING: The number of restaurants in New York dropped ~2,000 YoY in Q1 2026, posting its largest YoY decline in at least 36 years. This surpasses even the worst contraction recorded in any quarter during the 2020 pandemic. The number of eating and drinking places in New York State has now declined YoY for 4 consecutive quarters, its longest streak since 2021. This comes as restaurants are facing surging operating expenses, including insurance premiums, wages, interest rates, utilities, and health coverage, with overall costs rising faster than national averages. Last year, employee health insurance costs jumped +12.9% for New York-area service firms, business insurance rose +7.0%, while utility costs surged +8.5%, according to the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce. Skyrocketing costs are crushing New York restaurants.

Why don’t the people in the streets look young enough to be students?
Let me explain what’s happening in France. 🇫🇷 For years, students and citizens have felt ignored by a government that has repeatedly failed to listen to them. And now, people have finally reached their breaking point. This isn’t some petty tantrum. We’re talking about very basic educational inequality and working conditions that a supposedly first-world country should be able to provide. While private institutions may remain largely unaffected, public schools and the students who depend on them continue to bear the consequences. And with the next presidential election approaching, and the far right playing an increasingly prominent role in france’s politics, frustration is turning into anger, and anger is spilling into the streets. Do not let the media convince you that this came out of nowhere. This was inevitable. The actual protestors have manifested incredibly peacefully and have shown the true heart of their country, but as with so many large demonstrations in France, tensions escalate. Police brutality only fuels the fire, while others exploit the chaos as an excuse to vandalize and destroy the cities we love. I will never condone that destruction. But I can understand where some of that anger comes from. When people feel that their families, their futures, and their most basic needs have been ignored for years, resentment builds up. It genuinely breaks my heart to see my city burn the way it did yesterday. Paris is my home, and watching it suffer like this is devastating. But we’ve been talking about actual change for over fifteen years, and I sincerely hope that, this time, someone in power finally listens before things get even worse. I stand with everyone who has suffered through this chaos, whether they were protesting peacefully, simply trying to get home, or watching their cities being destroyed 😔🖤

This amazing @elonmusk. What a great way to give directly to American kids, and to get them invested early into a great American company.
Next year, I will give one of my SpaceX shares to every kid in America. This will be the first of many.

Jews were ethnically cleansed from their homeland and exiled to the four corners of the world. Zionism is a decolonization movement giving an indigenous people their homeland back. As a result, many generations of Jews were raised outside israel. Get it?

Are you here? The protesters don’t look very young and there’s not a single French flag in the street. There are lots of Palestinian flags tho.
THIS IS A LIE. FAKE NEWS. France isn’t burning because of immigrants. The protests began with FRENCH STUDENTS furious over crumbling schools, overcrowded classrooms and teacher shortages—and exploded as French citizens joined them over the cost of living, wages, pensions, austerity and failing public services. So Trump sees French citizens protesting their own government and does what he always does: Find immigrants. Blame immigrants. Scare Americans. He isn’t explaining what’s happening in France (because the ignorant piece of shit has no idea). He’s exploiting it to manufacture fear 16 days before an election. Good luck!

I’m actually in Paris. Let me tell you, the protesters are not young, none of them seem to be saying much of anything except that they wish a Louis Vuitton was free.
From the high schools of France to the streets of Madrid to the universities of Tirana, young people are telling their governments the same thing: in an age of massive wealth inequality, they want a future they can believe in. In France, students and teachers are asking for safe schools, enough teachers and smaller classes. In Spain, for affordable rent and housing. In Albania, for good jobs and an end to corruption. @JDVance says this is what happens when a nation lets in too many immigrants from the global south. He is not just morally wrong, but misreading the moment. The is what happens when nations let wealth and power accumulate in the hands of a few. This is what happens when young people lose hope in their future. In America, let us listen to our young. We need an economic and political transformation. America's Next New Deal.

Incredible.
We’re committing a portion of Anthropic’s shares to the Anthropic Public Benefit Fund, a new wholly owned entity dedicated entirely to the public benefit. It will start off with 5% of our shares. For every 50% increase in the company’s value over a set baseline, we can contribute up to an extra 2%, subject to our board’s discretion. In total, this means that roughly 20% of Anthropic’s shares are committed to the public good. Our co-founders have already pledged to donate 80% of their equity, and around half our employees are donating a portion of their equity as part of a donation matching program we’ve run since our founding. In the post below, we share more details about our new fund. anthropic.com/news/public-be…

This is a gross and bad faith straw man. Zero people are saying the French don’t have a long and glorious history of protest, some bloody. However: anyone actually here (hi!) can tell you there was not a single French flag in sight, that the stated cause of “protest” and the behavior on display seemed unrelated, and that the “protest” very quickly devolved into destruction and looting, including of regular shops and French would-be supporters of the supposed protest.
There were no riots before Muslims came to France, say morons who never heard of the French Revolution, 1968 or read a single book on their entire racist and pathetic lives.

Imagine thinking this is a bad thing when most Americans trust social media and not MSM precisely because it’s willing to explore stories that MSM filters decide “is not news”
From the story “Bari’s ideas routinely come from social media influencers or from opposition research that’s been placed in conservative outlets, and those stories usually leave out important context and facts,” one CBS News staffer in New York told Semafor. semafor.com/article/10/18/20…

R u here? I’m here. There wasn’t a single French flag. There were countless keffiyehs and Palestinian flags. This isn’t an op.
Malignant and ignorant actors are trying to turn what is happening in France into an immigration or Islam issue. But these are demonstrations over the cost of living and lack of future prospects of a generation that has been abandoned by the government. And there is nothing more French than rioting and demonstrating. It is as French as croissants. Stop using this to advance your racist agenda.
