$DXY Outlook – Technicals + Fundamentals DXY remains bullish on the daily timeframe. Price is currently pulling back, and I'm expecting some short-term downside as it goes after the liquidity below before we get the next impulsive move higher. Now, looking at the fundamentals, Wednesday's FOMC was interesting. The Fed held interest rates at 3.75% – 4.00%, but this wasn't exactly a dovish decision. A couple of things stood out: The Fed upgraded its assessment of economic activity from solid to strong. Inflation remains elevated. Two members dissented, preferring a 25 bps rate hike instead. This keeps the door open for further tightening, with markets now paying close attention to the possibility of another hike in December. The bigger picture here is that persistent inflation, resilient economic activity and higher-for-longer rate expectations could continue supporting the dollar. My take: I'm still leaning bullish on DXY. Wouldn't be surprised to see a short-term liquidity grab to the downside before the next leg up. Worth keeping an eye on DXY because dollar strength could put pressure on risk assets, including BTC and alts.
