We're really excited for the new
@A_MofRats2025 sculpture trail, which launches this Saturday around Hull.
This mass public art project has been put together by the same team behind the hugely popular Puffins Galore, A Moth for Amy and Larkin with Toads.
The project benefits the
@DaisyAppeal - a fantastic local charity funding cutting edge research and treatment to improve the outcomes for patients in our region living with cancer, heart disease and dementia.
The colourful public art trail will see 45 artist-decorated rat sculptures, each standing around 6ft tall, installed at various spots across Hull and East Riding. And it's amazing to see the iconic Humber Bridge feature in a few of the designs.
A Find-a-Rat Guide will be available from the information kiosk at Hull Paragon Interchange & libraries. There will also be a fun interactive app, which will be available to download at the weekend, that will help you keep track of all the rats you've spotted.
The inspiration for A Mischief of Rats was Hull musician Mick Ronson. Mick is best known as lead guitarist with David Bowie’s ‘Spiders from Mars’ but his home band was ‘The Rats’.
