Our baby elephant has a name AND he’s officially out on habitat! 🐘💚
Meet Matope (pronounced maw-toe-pay)! His name comes from the Swahili word for “mud” or “muddy waters,” and it couldn’t be more fitting for this mud-loving baby elephant.

When mom says “we’re leaving” and means it 🐯
Tiger moms are incredibly protective, and this is one of the ways they keep their cubs safe. Carrying them by the scruff is a natural behavior that helps mom move them gently and securely while they’re still small.

Our tiger cubs officially have names! 🐯 The votes are in and our female cub's name is Rina. Her name honors Rina PA, a ranger with the Sumatran Ranger Project. Her brother, Serasi, was named by our animal care team in tribute to a ranger from the same organization.

The herd just got a little taller and a lot cuter. 🦒 Say hello to our newest giraffe calf, born March 23 to mom Chrystal and dad Tebogo. This little girl weighed around 132 pounds and stood about 5 feet 9 inches at birth. She is the perfect mini-me of mom Chrystal.
